"Congress is in the ICU. They can get their well wishers out from every jail but that will not make a difference to their fortunes: Shri Modi"
"They know their defeat so now Congress is playing games like support 3rd front, how to create instability. Is this Desh Bhakti: Shri Modi"

A clarion call to support the BJP’s pro-people governance was given by Shri Narendra Modi during his address at the 3D Bharat Vijay rally on the evening of 3rd May. The Congress’ indifference towards the welfare of its people, as also its unconcern to preserve the Nation’s natural resources like the Ganges, was shared by Shri Modi, who appealed to the people to end such adverse form of politics.

Shri Modi talked about the piousness associated with the Ganges, and highlighted how this may get eroded soon since the Holy river, today, is filled with dirt and filth. He spoke of how many committees under the Central government were formed to clean the Ganga, but it was only the funds allotted for it that had disappeared and not the dirt. “Ganga is a part of our culture. Thankfully the Ganga has been spared from being seen through 'communal' lines. Please bless me so that I can serve Maa Ganga and bring a change in your lives,” said Shri Modi.

Speaking of his close affinity to the people of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Modi expressed grief at how kids in the State were losing their lives due to malnutrition and consumption of polluted water. He stated how this concern was not a case of political complexity but rather of humanity and the will and determination to address and resolve it.

Shri Modi also addressed the troubles people had to face due to floods and asserted how the linking of rivers – as dreamt by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee – could have solved this concern by providing the excess water to the drought-ridden regions. The dismal state-of-affairs, be it for the betterment of farmers or the clean-up of the Ganges, was spoke off by Shri Modi, who asserted how the Central government was least bothered to do any of this.

Drawing the people’s attention to the contradiction between the agendas of the Congress and the BJP, Shri Modi spoke of how Congress’ efforts were to save their ‘kursi’ (chair) while the BJP’s focus was to bring ‘khushi’ (happiness) on the faces of the people. He spoke of how the Congress was shaken with the recent political fervor for the BJP, so much so that their leaders were unwilling to contest the Elections due to the fear of losing. Congress is in the ICU. They can get their well wishers out from every jail but that will not make a difference to their fortunes. Congress is rattled. They know their defeat and so are playing games like showing their support for the 3rd front and trying to create instability. Is this Desh Bhakti?” opined Shri Modi.

Shri Modi recalled his recent visit to Seemandhra and spoke of how the people there were determined to make the State ‘Swarnim Andhra’ by supporting a progress-oriented government. He also affirmed of his vision to develop the Eastern part of India and make it at par with its Western counterpart, thereby ensuring overall and inclusive development of the Nation.

Shri Modi called upon the people to take the lead in fighting against poverty, illiteracy, blind beliefs and suffering. He urged them to vote for the BJP and show their support for a government that believes in uniting the Nation and developing it for a better tomorrow. “Elections have gone on for long. Some may be feeling tired but the election is till the last vote, till the last seat. The decision of the people must be clear, and the people must vote for a strong government & give us 300 Lotuses,” said Shri Modi.

PM to launch UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025
Theme of the conference, "Cooperatives Build Prosperity for All," aligns with the Indian Government’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi”

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate ICA Global Cooperative Conference 2024 and launch the UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025 on 25th November at around 3 PM at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

ICA Global Cooperative Conference and ICA General Assembly is being organised in India for the first time in the 130 year long history of International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), the premier body for the Global Cooperative movement. The Global Conference, hosted by Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), in collaboration with ICA and Government of India, and Indian Cooperatives AMUL and KRIBHCO will be held from 25th to 30th November.

The theme of the conference, "Cooperatives Build Prosperity for All," aligns with the Indian Government’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation). The event will feature discussions, panel sessions, and workshops, addressing the challenges and opportunities faced by cooperatives worldwide in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in areas such as poverty alleviation, gender equality, and sustainable economic growth.

Prime Minister will launch the UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025, which will focus on the theme, “Cooperatives Build a Better World,” underscoring the transformative role cooperatives play in promoting social inclusion, economic empowerment, and sustainable development. The UN SDGs recognize cooperatives as crucial drivers of sustainable development, particularly in reducing inequality, promoting decent work, and alleviating poverty. The year 2025 will be a global initiative aimed at showcasing the power of cooperative enterprises in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges.

Prime Minister will also launch a commemorative postal stamp, symbolising India’s commitment to the cooperative movement. The stamp showcases a lotus, symbolising peace, strength, resilience, and growth, reflecting the cooperative values of sustainability and community development. The five petals of the lotus represent the five elements of nature (Panchatatva), highlighting cooperatives' commitment to environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The design also incorporates sectors like agriculture, dairy, fisheries, consumer cooperatives, and housing, with a drone symbolising the role of modern technology in agriculture.

Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bhutan His Excellency Dasho Tshering Tobgay and Hon’ble Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji His Excellency Manoa Kamikamica and around 3,000 delegates from over 100 countries will also be present.
