TMC government has soft corners for foreign intruders but shows no respect for own country’s Prime Minister: PM Modi
Didi’s government was formed to loot people’s hard-earned money, indulge in scams and hooliganism of all kinds: PM Modi in Bengal
I urge all voters to turn out in large numbers and vote for the BJP in these elections and strengthen our resolve to revive the lost glory of West Bengal: Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two massive rallies in Bankura and Purulia in West Bengal today where he came down hard on the state TMC government for nurturing a soft corner towards intruders from neighbouring countries while showing utter disregard for the Prime Minister of her own country.

Attacking the TMC government of CM Mamata Banerjee for neglecting development in West Bengal, PM Modi said, “TMC formed government in Bengal with tall promises of development for everyone in Gurudev’s holy land. While Gurudev Tagore envisioned a a country where all people lived without fear and their heads held high, decades of poor governance and violence by Congress, Left and then TMC governments have destroyed the Bengal of Gurudev. However, it has become clear now that the Didi’s government was formed to loot people’s hard-earned money, indulge in scams and hooliganism of all kinds and nurture support for intruders from other countries for their divisive political agendas. The anti-democratic ways of political violence and suppression by the TMC in Bengal have angered and frustrated people, which is why, support for the BJP has been growing rapidly here.”

Highlighting the BJP government’s push for infrastructure development in the country since 2014, Prime Minister Modi said, “Since 2014, we have laid special emphasis on building world-class infrastructure across the country for addressing the needs of our growing country. Numerous rail, road, water and air projects have been initiated while the impending ones are being completed to ensure easier mobility for the people. On the other hand, through our mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,’ we have made great strides in empowering the poorest communities financially and socially.”

Urging the large crowd of supporters in Bengal to not be deterred by the violence and repression of TMC goons during these elections, PM Modi said, “The overwhelming support for the BJP in Bengal shows that the people have decided to bless us wholeheartedly despite all odds against them. I urge all the eligible voters to turn out in large numbers and vote for the BJP during the ongoing elections and strengthen our resolve to revive the glory of West Bengal which has been totally damaged by years of poor governance and violence.”
