India-Vietnam Joint Statement during State visit of President of Vietnam to India (March 03, 2018)

At the invitation of H. E. Shri Ram NathKovind, President of the Republic of India, H.E. Mr. Tran Dai Quang, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, and Spouse paid a State Visit to the Republic of India from 02-04 March 2018. The President of Viet Nam was accompanied by a high-level official delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Pham Binh Minh, leaders of many ministries, provinces and a large business delegation.

Statement by PM at Joint Press Meet with Vietnamese President

At the Joint Press Meet with Vietnamese President, PM Modi today highlighted steps being undertaken to further enhance the strategic partnership between both the countries in the fields of defence and security, trade and investment, energy, agriculture, science and technology and tourism. The leaders also discussed issues of global importance.

PM to visit Vietnam; to attend Annual G-20 Leaders Summit in Hangzhou, China

PM Modi would be visiting Vietnam to further cement the close bond between both countries. PM would hold talks with Prime Minister of Vietnam Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc. The PM would also meet the President of Vietnam, Mr. Tran Dai Quang and several other dignitaries. Shri Modi would pay homage to Ho Chi Minh, lay a wreath at the Monument of National Heroes and Martyrs as well as visit the Quan Su Pagoda.
