ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਤਮਿਲ ਨਾਡੂ ਨੇ ਰਾਮੇਸ਼ਵਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ 8,300 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਤੋਂ ਅਧਿਕ ਦੀ ਲਾਗਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਰੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਸੜਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਨੀਂਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਵਰਟੀਕਲ ਲਿਫਟ ਸੀ ਬਰਿਜ (vertical lift sea bridge)- ਨਵੇਂ ਪੰਬਨ ਰੇਲ ਬਰਿਜ (Pamban Rail Bridge) ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੜਕ ਪੁਲ਼ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਟ੍ਰੇਨ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਝੰਡੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲ਼ ਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਮੇਸ਼ਵਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਮਨਾਥਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਜਾ (darshan and pooja) ਭੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਅਵਸਰ ‘ਤੇ ਇਕੱਠ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਨੌਮੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਵਨ ਅਵਸਰ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਹੀ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਰਾਮ ਮੰਦਿਰ (magnificent Ram Mandir in Ayodhya) ਵਿੱਚ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਬ ਕਿਰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਮਲਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਤਿਲਕ (grand tilak) ਨਾਲ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਅਧਾਰ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।” ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤਮਿਲ ਨਾਡੂ ਦੇ ਸੰਗਮ ਯੁਗ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ (Tamil Nadu's Sangam-era literature) ਵਿੱਚ ਭੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ (Lord Shri Ram) ਦਾ ਉਲੇਖ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਮੇਸ਼ਵਰਮ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਨੌਮੀ ਦੇ ਅਵਸਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
