PM Narendra Modi today dedicated the INS Kalvari to the nation from Mumbai. Speaking at the occasion, the PM said that it was a perfect example of the 'Make in India’ initiative. He said that the INS Kalvari would further strengthen the Indian Navy.

PM Modi will dedicate to the nation, the naval submarine INS Kalvari, at Mumbai. The INS Kalvari is a diesel-electric attack submarine that has been built for the Indian Navy by the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited. It is the first of six such submarines that will be inducted into the Indian Navy, and represents a significant success for the Make in India initiative.
