During his Mann Ki Baat, PM Narendra Modi today said that it was because of red beacons a VIP culture had flourished in the country. While addressing a programme to mark Basava Jayanthi, PM Modi said India’s history is not only about defeat, poverty or colonialism but it gave the message of good governance, non-violence and Satyagraha. He expressed confidence that reformers would emerge from within the Muslim community itself, to put an end to the pain suffered by some Muslim women, because of the practice of “triple talaq.” He urged the Muslim community not to look at this issue through a political lens.PM Modi inaugurates International Basava Convention
