UP CM Yogi Adityanath writes: PM Modi, the architect of new India

Under PM Modi’s successful leadership, the country is coming together to realize the dream of "One India Great India", says UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

The birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma, the architect of this universe, and the birthday of our illustrious prime minister, the architect of a better India, are on the same day. What a beautiful coincidence!

Great leaders not only dedicate themselves to a larger goal, but also create institutions and systems to achieve that goal.

In the past nine and a half years, we have had a first-hand experience of the embodiment of this greatness in PMNarendra Modi.
Prior to 2014, there was a feeling of disgust among the people towards the system because of the rot that had set in for a prolonged period of corruption, appeasement and nepotism. The welfare schemes of the government were selective, the word 'socialism' was reduced to ‘familyism’ and the slogan of 'Garibi Hatao' to 'eliminating the poor'.

Amid this gloom and despair, the people decided to bring about a radical change in the system by electing a government led by Modiji in 2014. He rekindled the hope of people for a bright future and in him they saw the force that could meet their expectations, fulfil their aspirations and realize their dreams.

Undoubtedly, this was the beginning of India's social, economic, political and cultural renaissance. It is the specialty of his leadership that Modiji made all 140 crore countrymen a part of his mission, his ‘yagya’. The importance of India's ‘trinity’ of demography, democracy and diversity was explained to every countryman. People were introduced to India’s true and untapped potential.
The creation of a 'new India' became possible only as a result of this ‘yagya’ of national awakening. It is a miracle of Modi ji's successful leadership that India, divided into different religions, sects, beliefs, languages and thoughts, is coming together to realize the dream of 'One India Great India'.

Today, India is free from the curse of Article 370 in Kashmir. Muslim sisters are free from any medieval abomination like triple talaq. Every crop of every farmer is insured. Every poor person has the blessing of 'Ayushman' and the unparalleled happiness of having his own house.

'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ is the soul of this new work culture. In this new system that imbibes the mantra of 'Antyodaya to Sarvodaya', the person at the last rung of the society is the top priority of the government. For the first time, agriculture and farmers are at the centre of political discussion. There is confidence in the government among the common people. Probably Goswami Tulsidas ji has given the name 'Ram Rajya' for such a system.

In a country that spent 70 years under the shadow of monarchy in the form of dynastic politics, it was unimaginable that a Prime Minister would ever wash the feet of sanitation workers. But the entire country witnessed this in Prayagraj when Modiji washed the feet of sanitation workers with a sense of gratitude.

In an epidemic like Covid, the entire country came together and remained disciplined at every call of its leader. This is possible only when the people have an unshakeable faith in the policies and intentions of their leadership. Modi ji is the only leader to earn this capital in post-independence India. The PM’s address to the countrymen as 'My family' from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort fills the mind of every Indian with a sense of belonging.

If we look closely at Modi ji's personality, we find a reflection of a beautiful coordination of the qualities of both practicality and idealism. He is a statesman and also has the purity and innocence of a child. Every step of his journey has been full of challenges and struggles. It is the unique personality of Modi ji that makes him consider challenges as opportunities, overcome every obstacle and continuously move forward to fulfil his objectives.

The concept of our PM, who has a vision of faith and economy, has been to carry development and heritage together. After waiting for 500 years, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Awadhpuri is ready to be inaugurated. The whole world is watching Ayodhya. Today, much awaited works like Sri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, revival of Kedarnath Dham as well as ‘ Mahakal ka Mahalok’ in Ujjain have given an opportunity to the faith that has been hurt for centuries to blossom again.

This past decade under the leadership of PM Modi has been a period of restoration of India's glory. Recently a new Parliament building has been inaugurated in the country.

In the past nine and a half years, not only us Indians, but the entire world has been a witness to the creation of a 'New India' and is watching 'Bharat Uday' (emergence of Bharat) on Mars, Moon and Sun with great eagerness.

Today, wherever there is a humanitarian crisis, the world looks towards PM Modi with hope. The success of the recently concluded G-20 under his visionary leadership has placed India at the centre of the new world order.

Under his guidance, the entire India has adopted the great resolutions of the Amrit Kaal. The ‘Panch Pran' (five pledges) proclaimed from the ramparts of the Red Fort is the soul of these resolutions. The entire country is moving forward with a united voice and a united spirit for their fulfilment. The dream of 'self-reliant India' and 'developed India' is now closer to becoming a reality.

Cricket legend K. Srikkanth reveals what makes PM Modi a true leader!
March 26, 2025

Former Indian cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth shares his heartfelt admiration for PM Modi, recounting moments that reflect the PM’s humility, warmth and unwavering ability to inspire.

Reminiscing his meeting with PM Modi, Srikkanth says, “Greatest thing about PM Modi is… when you go talk to him and meet him, you feel so comfortable, you don’t feel overpowered that he is the Prime Minister. He will be very casual and if you want to discuss anything and have any thoughts, he will make you feel very very comfortable, so you won’t feel scared.”

The cricket legend recalls how he once sent a text message addressed to the PM to his Secretary congratulating PM Modi for victories in 2019 and 2024 Lok Sabha elections and was taken aback when he received a personal reply from the PM himself!

“The biggest quality PM Modi has is his ability to talk to you, make you feel comfortable and make you feel important,” Srikkanth adds recalling a programme he had attended in Chennai. He notes how Shri Modi, even as a Prime Ministerial candidate in 2014, remained approachable and humble. He fondly recalls the event where the PM personally called him on stage. “I was standing in the crowd and suddenly, he called me up. The entire auditorium was clapping. That is the greatness of this man,” he shares.

PM Modi’s passion for cricket is another aspect that deeply resonates with Srikkanth. Reminiscing a memorable instance, he shares how PM Modi watched an entire match in Ahmedabad with great enthusiasm like a true cricket aficionado.

Even in challenging moments, PM Modi’s leadership shines through. Srikkanth highlights how after Team India lost the World Cup in November 2023, PM Modi personally visited the Indian dressing room to boost the team’s morale. “PM Modi went and spoke to each and every cricketer and spoke to them personally. That matters a lot as a cricketer after losing the final. Words of encouragement from the Prime Minister has probably boosted India to win the Champions Trophy and the T20 World Cup,” he says.

Beyond cricket, the former Indian cricketer is in awe of PM Modi’s incredible energy and fitness, attributing it to his disciplined routine of yoga and meditation. “Because PM Modi is physically very fit, he is mentally very sharp. Despite his hectic international schedule, he always looks fresh,” he adds.

For Krishnamachari Srikkanth, PM Modi is more than just a leader he is an inspiration. His words and actions continue to uplift India’s sporting spirit, leaving an indelible impact on athletes and citizens alike.
