Shri Narendra Modi’s website www.narendramodi.in has got a completely new look! The site has been updated and now boasts of a fresh look with several new features and upgrades from the earlier look. From Shri Modi’s biography and latest news about Gujarat to details about the key Government initiatives, the website has it all.

An innovative new feature of the site is the ‘You Said It’ section that serves as like a citizens wall allowing users to post comments that would be displayed on the website. The website also allows users to share news stories in the ‘Media Coverage’ section in addition to the media stories that are regularly updated on the site. Through the ‘Citizen Journalism’ section it is now possible for users to write articles and upload photographs that would be shared on the site.

Earlier features such as Shri Modi’s photographs, videos, speeches and downloads of wallpapers, screensavers and ringtones remain a part of the website. The e-books section allows readers to read books penned by Shri Narendra Modi. The interactive features such as writing to Shri Modi, inviting him to functions and seeking an appointment too constitute a part of the site.

The refurbished website is yet another example of the pioneering use of technology by Shri Narendra Modi. Being a firm believer in technology, Shri Modi has incorporated the usage of technology in the working of the government.  For this, he has also been awarded several awards. The Computer Society of India (CSI) had conferred him the title of e-Ratna for his contribution to e-Governance in November 2011. The ICT initiatives at the Chief Ministers Office have been awarded with awards such as the ‘Award of Excellence- Departmental Level’ at the CSI Nihilent e-Governance Awards 2011. The e-Gov strategies and ICT enabled initiatives at the CMO were awarded the ‘Best Government to Citizen Initiative of the Year Award’ at the e-India Summit December 2011.

Shri Modi is also very active on social media. He is an avid blogger where he pens his thoughts and shares his views on Twitter as well. The new website and its innovative features will further enhance Shri Modi’s social media presence and bring him closer to well wishers across the world.

PM to distribute over 50 lakh property cards to property owners under SVAMITVA Scheme
December 26, 2024
Drone survey already completed in 92% of targeted villages
Around 2.2 crore property cards prepared

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will distribute over 50 lakh property cards under SVAMITVA Scheme to property owners in over 46,000 villages in 200 districts across 10 States and 2 Union territories on 27th December at around 12:30 PM through video conferencing.

SVAMITVA scheme was launched by Prime Minister with a vision to enhance the economic progress of rural India by providing ‘Record of Rights’ to households possessing houses in inhabited areas in villages through the latest surveying drone technology.

The scheme also helps facilitate monetization of properties and enabling institutional credit through bank loans; reducing property-related disputes; facilitating better assessment of properties and property tax in rural areas and enabling comprehensive village-level planning.

Drone survey has been completed in over 3.1 lakh villages, which covers 92% of the targeted villages. So far, around 2.2 crore property cards have been prepared for nearly 1.5 lakh villages.

The scheme has reached full saturation in Tripura, Goa, Uttarakhand and Haryana. Drone survey has been completed in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh and also in several Union Territories.
