Top national leaders of the Party, State BJP Presidents and other leaders attended the meeting.

Shri Narendra Modi expressed confidence of a comprehensive BJP victory because the people of India are fed up of the misgovernance of the Congress rule. He added that the people of India are eager to throw the Congress out of power at the first available opportunity. During the meeting, he shared his thoughts and ideas on effective campaigning and the urgency to reach out to each voter.

He opined that prescription to achieving a comprehensive win lies in planning in detail and implementing it fully. He affirmed that the Karyakarta and the Organisation is the mainstay of the BJP and called for efforts to take all sections of society with the Party and strengthen the Organisation in the next 200 days. He also appealed to the various committees that have been appointed for the Elections to function with greater speed.

Speaking during the meeting, BJP National President Shri Rajnath Singh called for making ‘Mission 272+’ a resounding success and emerge victorious in the Assembly Elections later this year. He went on to say that the mood of the nation reflects this mission as an achievable target. Shri Singh affirmed that the Congress led UPA Government at the Centre is only interested in political security for themselves and not in the economic, internal and external security of the nation.

Shri Rajnath Singh came down heavily against the Prime Minister for failing to manage the economy thus leading to more sufferring for the common man and woman. He illustrated his point by giving examples about inflation and the depreciating value of the Ruppee.

Describing Dr. Manmohan Singh’s 15th August speech as uninspiring, Shri Rajnath Singh pointed that the speech further eroded the confidence of the people of India and international investors. He also termed the decision to introduce capital control as a regressive method that will further hurt the economy.

In his address Shri Rajnath Singh also demanded complete stopping of dialogue with Pakistan till the Pakistan Government gives a promise that their land will not be used for terror activities against India and if they assure to stop the skirmishes on the border. He affirmed that such a stand is needed keeping in mind 18 ceasefire violations in the last 10 days, killing of Indian Jawans and the violence in Kishtwar.

The Party leadership discussed the programmes that would be undertaken to achieve these targets including mass rallies, constituency level congregations and a campaign to reach every doorstep.
