Shri Narendra Modi campaigned in various parts of Madhya Pradesh on Friday 22nd November 2013. He addressed massive public meetings in Khandwa, Barwani and Jhabua and Indore. Shri Modi affirmed that election is a contest between the false promises of the Congress and the development oriented performance of the BJP government in MP led by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. “Madhya Pradesh has decided it will vote for development. People of Madhya Pradesh have decided they will not support votebank politics,” said Shri Modi. He added that the poor of Madhya Pradesh can see the development in the state but the Centre is unable to see it because for them the chair matters more than the poor. He urged the people to sever ties with the Congress, which has betrayed them by not fulfilling the promises it made to the people.

Speaking in Indore, Shri Modi talked about the importance a nation needs to give to skill development and added that while the entire world is placing importance on skill development, India is spending Rs. 1000 crore on skill development whereas a small state like Gujarat has a budget of Rs. 800 crore. He said that the UPA has become a skill of forming committees rather than focusing on skill development.

Showering praise on the work of Shri Chouhan, Shri Modi pointed that through initiatives like the Atal Jyoti Abhiyan, Shivraj ji tried to bring electricity to the villages. He asked the people to remember what was the condition of Madhya Pradesh a decade ago when the Congress was in power.

Shri Modi took on the statements made by Congress ministers and exposed their anti-poor nature. Commenting on the statement by IT Minister Shri Kapil Sibal that prices are rising because the poor are consuming two Sabzis now, Shri Modi said, “Is this what they think of the poor? Is this the language they speak?” He also reacted to the statement by a UPA minister saying that onion prices have increased because onion cultivation has stopped in Kutch, saying that till a few years ago there was no water in Kutch, forget cultivating onions.

During his speech, Shri Modi brought out the arbitrary nature and misplaced priorities of the UPA. Giving the example of the Centre’s promotion of the pink revolution, Shri Modi stated, “The government in Delhi is unique! Export cotton and pay tax, export mutton and get subsidy…Congress encourages pink revolution they give subsidy to slaughter houses, to kill animals.” He added that despite the SC order, the Centre refused to give grains to the poor, preferring to give them to alcohol manufacturers instead. “Instead of filling stomachs of the poor they are more interested to fill bottles of alcohol.” He described the arrogance of the Congress as sky-high and added that the party neither answered for their work nor for their sins.

PM to distribute over 50 lakh property cards to property owners under SVAMITVA Scheme
December 26, 2024
Drone survey already completed in 92% of targeted villages
Around 2.2 crore property cards prepared

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will distribute over 50 lakh property cards under SVAMITVA Scheme to property owners in over 46,000 villages in 200 districts across 10 States and 2 Union territories on 27th December at around 12:30 PM through video conferencing.

SVAMITVA scheme was launched by Prime Minister with a vision to enhance the economic progress of rural India by providing ‘Record of Rights’ to households possessing houses in inhabited areas in villages through the latest surveying drone technology.

The scheme also helps facilitate monetization of properties and enabling institutional credit through bank loans; reducing property-related disputes; facilitating better assessment of properties and property tax in rural areas and enabling comprehensive village-level planning.

Drone survey has been completed in over 3.1 lakh villages, which covers 92% of the targeted villages. So far, around 2.2 crore property cards have been prepared for nearly 1.5 lakh villages.

The scheme has reached full saturation in Tripura, Goa, Uttarakhand and Haryana. Drone survey has been completed in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh and also in several Union Territories.
