Addressing the at Global Ayurveda Festival in Kozhikode, PM Narendra Modi today said that India had the potential to be a leader in making affordable, holistic health care available to the world. Shri Modi said that Ayurvedic daily life routines were meant to enhance the total health of a human being, both mental and physical.

The Prime Minister reiterated Government’s commitment to promote Ayurveda and traditional systems of medicine. He also said that young entrepreneurs who were planning a start-up could find a lot of opportunities in holistic healthcare sector.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid homage today to Mahatma Gandhi at his statue in the historic Promenade Gardens in Georgetown, Guyana. He recalled Bapu’s eternal values of peace and non-violence which continue to guide humanity. The statue was installed in commemoration of Gandhiji’s 100th birth anniversary in 1969.

Prime Minister also paid floral tribute at the Arya Samaj monument located close by. This monument was unveiled in 2011 in commemoration of 100 years of the Arya Samaj movement in Guyana.
