ସେ ଭାରତ ଏବଂ ଇଣ୍ଡୋନେସିଆ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ରହିଥିବା ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ସମ୍ପର୍କର ଅବତାରଣା କରିବା ସହିତ ଚଳିତ ବର୍ଷ ନୂଆଦିଲ୍ଲୀରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ ସାଧାରଣତନ୍ତ୍ର ଦିବସ ସମାରୋହର ସ୍ମୃତିଚାରଣ କରିଥିଲେ ଯେଉଁଠି ଇଣ୍ଡୋନେସିଆ ସମେତ 10ଟି ଆସିଆନ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରର ନେତାମାନେ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ । ସେ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖ କରିଥିଲେ ଯେ 1950 ମସିହାରେ ଇଣ୍ଡୋନେସିଆର ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ନୂଆଦିଲ୍ଲୀ ଠାରେ ସାଧାରଣତନ୍ତ୍ର ଦିବସ ପରେଡରେ ଯୋଗ ଦେବା ସଂଯୋଗବଶତଃ ନଥିଲା ।
