I pay my heartfelt tributes to the martyrs of ‘Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.’ I also bow down to the Tamil legends late MGR and Jayalalithaa Ji for their outstanding services to the Tamils: PM Modi in Tamil Nadu
The NDA has worked for everyone in the last years with our guiding mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’: PM Modi
The Congress and DMK used to be sworn enemies but have now joined hands with the sole purpose of defeating Modi: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two huge rallies in Theni and Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu today.PM Modi paid tributes to the martyrs of the ‘Jallianwala Bagh massacre’ which completes its 100th year today. On this occassion, he also paid his tributes to the great Tamil leaders, MGR and Jayalalithaa for their outstanding service to the Tamil people.

Lashing out at the regional alliance of the Congress and DMK for their failed governance, PM Modi said, “Those parties who used to be sworn enemies have now formed alliances to hoodwink the people of Tamil Nadu. The people remember how in 1979, Congress insulted the DMK, the same also happened recently when DMK leader Kanimozhi was arrested in the 2G scam and DMK leaders were fiercely criticising the Congress. Their recent alliance in the ‘Maha-Milawat’ is not to serve the people of Tamil Nadu but to serve their own families first. All of the leaders in the ‘Maha-Milawat’ want to become the PM. That is why, the people of Tamil Nadu do not trust them anymore.”

Speaking at length about key achievements of the NDA during the last five years, Prime Minister Modi said, “The NDA government has worked for everyone with its mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas.’ We increased the MSP of farmers’ crops by 1.5 times its cost and also implemented the decades-long demand of soldiers for One Rank, One Pension. We enhanced the sanitation coverage in the country from 38% in 2014 to 98% in 2019. We opened millions of bank accounts for the poor and also gave them access to clean cooking fuel and electricity.”

Talking about how the BJP stands with the traditions and culture of the people of India, PM Modi said, “We also stand for respect for people’s faith. We have strongly condemned the actions of the Congress and Communists about the Sabarimala Temple issue. As a result, our ‘Sankalp Patr’ also mentions that we will actively pursue for constitutional protection for matters of faith for millions of people in order to prevent a repeat of what has happened in the Sabarimala Temple.”
