The choice in these elections is between the BJP’s model of inclusive development or the Mahamilawat’s model of division, hate and fear: PM Modi

The people of Bengal have resolved to get rid of their corrupt, insensitive and repressive government and will give the TMC’s goons a befitting response by voting resoundingly in support of the BJP: Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed three large public rallies in Mau, Chandauli and Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh today where he contrasted the BJP’s model of inclusive development with that of Opposition Mahamilawat’s model of division, hate and fear and said that the citizens of the country had rejected the latter model and the elections results on 23rd May will prove it.

Addressing the massive crowd in attendance, PM Modi hit out at the Opposition alliance ‘Mahamilawat’ for creating rift in society while enriching themselves by illegal activities. He said, “Initially these ‘Mahamilawati’ leaders wanted to destroy Modi’s image and even posed for cameras together in order to show their unity against Modi, but when it came to naming their Prime Miniserial candidate, everyone has begun projecting themselves as the next Prime Minister, leaving all their ‘unity’ aside. By now, the people have shown them that they will no longer let the Opposition’s divisive model win and so these ‘Mahamilawatis’ have resorted to running a vicious campaign of spreading lies, hate and fear among the people in order to increase their votes.”

Speaking about the recent violence and vandalism that has characterized much of election campaigning in Bengal this time, Prime Minister Modi said, “The kind of hooliganism and violence that has taken place during election campaigning in West Bengal this time is unprecedented not only in its scale but also because the ruling TMC has employed its entire state machinery in sponsoring such violence against the BJP. However, the people of Bengal have resolved to get rid of their corrupt, insensitive and repressive government and will give the TMC’s goons a befitting response by voting resoundingly in support of the BJP.” In this context, PM Modi blamed the TMC for vandalizing the bust of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar at a Kolkata college during the recent road show of BJP President Amit Shah and said that the BJP government was fully committed to Vidyasagar’s vision of reform and peace and will install a grand statue of the social reformer again.

PM Modi later predicted a 300-seat plus victory for the BJP in the upcoming elections and attributed his confidence to the overwhelming support the party has received from people of all sections. He described how the ‘Mahamilawati’ Chief Ministers of SP-BSP ruled UP for a long time and instead of focusing on people’s development, they indulged in massive corruption, enriching their own families illegally while the ordinary people languished in poverty. He applauded the state BJP government under CM Yogi Adityanath for rapidly transforming the state’s economy while also achieving major milestones in providing access of basic services like electricity, sanitation, water and housing to the poorest people.
