The BJP government in Jharkhand has made rapid strides in improving the lives of its people and we will continue to do so in the future as well: PM Modi in Jharkhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a huge rally in Lohardaga in Jharkhand this morning. Addressing the huge crowd of supporters, Prime Minister Modi said, “After the three phases of Lok Sabha elections, even the Opposition parties have accepted that Modi government is coming back to power because they have again started blaming the EVMs for their impending defeat.”

Taking the Opposition parties hands on for their resurgent claims of ‘faulty EVMs’ during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi said, “The fact that the Opposition parties have started again with their claims that the EVMs are faulty, shows that the Mahamilawati gang has accepted that they will not win this time. They have understood that the people will not waste their vote by voting for such opportunist parties. The people of the country have decided to vote for development, growth and democracy rather than the petty politics of Opposition parties.”

Applauding the efforts of the people of Jharkhand to curb Maoism and Naxalism in the state, Prime Minister Modi said, “The continuous efforts of the BJP government in Jharkhand have started to show their results as not only there has been a huge decrease in the naxal-affected districts in the country but we are also seeing record numbers of youth shunning violent activities and joining the mainstream. The BJP government in Jharkhand has made rapid strides in improving the lives of its people and we will continue to do so in the future as well so that Jharkhand can utilize its true potential for growth.”

Prime Minister visited the Indian Arrival monument at Monument Gardens in Georgetown today. He was accompanied by PM of Guyana Brig (Retd) Mark Phillips. An ensemble of Tassa Drums welcomed Prime Minister as he paid floral tribute at the Arrival Monument. Paying homage at the monument, Prime Minister recalled the struggle and sacrifices of Indian diaspora and their pivotal contribution to preserving and promoting Indian culture and tradition in Guyana. He planted a Bel Patra sapling at the monument.

The monument is a replica of the first ship which arrived in Guyana in 1838 bringing indentured migrants from India. It was gifted by India to the people of Guyana in 1991.
