2nd phase of Shala Praveshotsav-2012 Massive Shala Pravesh drive to be held in urban areas during June 28-30 Around 2.5 L children will be enrolled in primary schools in 6 municipal corporation, 159 municipality areas CM to lead the campaign; cabinet ministers, govt office bearers, officials to join the enrollment process in different areas  

The twin drives of Kanya Kelavani and Shala Praveshotsav, which have been launched by state government with a view to achieve 100% enrollment in primary schools and to bring about grassroutes changes in primary education scenario, will take place in urban areas during June 28-30. The drives will cover six municipal corporations and 159 municipality areas,

Chief Minister Narendra Modi will lead the campaign during all three days and will address the people and academia on the need for social awareness in the field of education. State cabinet ministers, parliamentary secretaries, assembly speaker and whip, MLAs, MPs, chairmen of various boards and corporations and IAS, IPS and IFS officers will take part in enrollment process in different areas. Nearly 2.5 lakh children will be enrolled in primary schools during these three days.

It is noteworthy that the Kanya Kelavni and Shala Praveshotsav drives had been organized in rural areas during June 14-16 this year, which was led by Chief Minister Narendra Modi and had direct guidance of Education Minister Ramanlal Vora and Minister of State for Education Jaysinh Chauhan. The drives in rural areas got unprecedented response with the enrollment of as many as 4,79,808 children in primary classes and 4,80,169 children in std-VIII. As many as 3,06,444 children were enrolled in anganwadis and kindergarten. A sum of about Rs.10.54 crore was donated by people in cash or kind. The first phase of the twin drives in rural areas has remained immensely successful and encouraging.

MoU between India and Kuwait on Cooperation in the field of Defence.

This MoU will institutionalize bilateral cooperation in the area of defence. Key areas of cooperation include training, exchange of personnel and experts, joint exercises, cooperation in defence industry, supply of defence equipment, and collaboration in research and development, among others.

Cultural Exchange Programme (CEP) between India and Kuwait for the years 2025-2029.

The CEP will facilitate greater cultural exchanges in art, music, dance, literature and theatre, cooperation in preservation of cultural heritage, research and development in the area of culture and organizing of festivals.

Executive Programme (EP) for Cooperation in the Field of Sports
(2025-2028)

The Executive Programme will strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of sports between India and Kuwait by promoting exchange of visits of sports leaders for experience sharing, participation in programs and projects in the field of sports, exchange of expertise in sports medicine, sports management, sports media, sports science, among others.

Kuwait’s membership of International Solar Alliance (ISA).

 

The International Solar Alliance collectively covers the deployment of solar energy and addresses key common challenges to the scaling up of use of solar energy to help member countries develop low-carbon growth trajectories.
