Hon'ble CM inaugrates Mega exhibition- 'know your army better'

Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today while inaugurating Indian Army’s weapon exhibition suggested that manufacturing and research of the war weapons and security instruments should be made within the country only.

GOLDEN KATAR DIVISION of Indian Army has organized a three-day weapon exhibition in cooperation with state’s Home Department at Ahmedabad Police Stadium. The exhibition has in display the weapons and instruments used by the Indian Army during wars.

Chief Minister, on the occasion, called upon Indian government and young engineers to take up the challenge of making war instruments within the country. He said that central government should introduce some rewarding policy for the intellectual talents of the country to push in-house research and manufacturing in the field of war instruments.

Mentioning that Gujarat shares same border with the hostile country like Pakistan he said keeping vigil has become crucial for the state. Gujarat government has adopted an integrated strategy where it works in senergy with Army, Navy, Air Force, Border Security Force, Police and all the central agencies tackling security issues, he said.

“It is good that more and more youths are being attracted to defense services”, Chief Minister said adding that with state government encouraging youth to join security forces, the percentage of youth joining defense services has increased drastically. State government in yet another move, he said, will give Navy NCC training to younger generation of the Sagarkhedu community with a view to encourage them join Navy.

Chief Minister also appealed youths to take courses in Rakshashakti University and Forensic Science University so that they can eventually work for the safeguarding of mother-nation.

On the first day of the exhibition, Army Jawans exhibited various heart-throbbing performances like Paramount Sailing, Motor Cycle Display, Hot Air Balloon, Bayonet Fighting, Malkhamb, Troop-dance and others. Along with dignitaries the exhibition also saw visit from a large number of people. Chief Secretary Shri A.K.Joti, Additional Chief Secretary to Home Department Shri Balwantsinh and office bearers of Indian Army were also present on the occasion.

‘Modi has qualities of successful Army commander’

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has all the qualities of a successful Army commander, said General Officer Commanding (GOC) Major General I S Singha of the Golden Katar Division in Ahmedabad on Monday.

He was speaking at the inauguration of three-day ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition organised by the Golden Katar Division of the Army.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi compliments Abdullah Al-Baroun and Abdul Lateef Al-Nesef for their efforts in translating and publishing the Arabic translations of the Ramayan and Mahabharat.

In a post on X, he wrote:
