Great thrust on Girl-Child Education

School enrolment drives which lays great emphasis on girl-child's education, the 3 day enrolment drive from 24th June to 26th June all across the State in the urban areas under the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi remained successful. As many as 50,061 boys and 47,784 girls, in sum 97845 children were enrolled in 1st standard amidst joy and festivity. It witnessed loud cheers, winning financial contribution from NGOs and people worth Rs. 1, 37, 09,215. Those who had left school in past, 1214 such boys and 1155 girls were reinstated in to the school.

Pre-Primary enrolment- Aanganwadi Namankan- has received tremendous response, 29265 boys and 27561 girls were enrolled. With a view to promoting girl-child education, the unique initiative that includes allotment of Vidhya Lakshmi Bonds to the girls, 4428 girls got such bonds.

Knowledge is most important form of wealth; the read-Gujarat mission is sought to promote reading habits in children books were floated during the statewide enrolment drive. Physical infrastructure has improved a lot with schools having sanitation facility, compound walls, enough numbers of class rooms and laboratories.

Under Shri Modiji's leadership, Education Minister Shri Ramanlal Vora, Minister of State Shri Jaysinh Chauhan and Principal Secretary Shri Hasmukh Adhiya had chalked out the programme which included active participation from people and dignitaries.

PM to participate in ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ on 24 November

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ programme on 24 November at around 5:30 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Odisha Parba is a flagship event conducted by Odia Samaj, a trust in New Delhi. Through it, they have been engaged in providing valuable support towards preservation and promotion of Odia heritage. Continuing with the tradition, this year Odisha Parba is being organised from 22nd to 24th November. It will showcase the rich heritage of Odisha displaying colourful cultural forms and will exhibit the vibrant social, cultural and political ethos of the State. A National Seminar or Conclave led by prominent experts and distinguished professionals across various domains will also be conducted.
