Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today visited the Kundopal village, Aravalli district, to express his personal condolence to the bereaved family members and villagers of deceased, who died in a road mishap there. Mr Modi also attended the mass funerals and offered floral homage to the deceased.
Shocked and grief stricken, Mr. Modi had avoided to attend the Republic-Day eve celebration functions being held at Modasa, and drove straight way to the Kundolpal village to condole the bereaved family members and villagers of the deceased.
While attending the heart wrenching funerals of all 15 deceased, who were hailing from the Kundolpal village, Chief Minister expressed his sympathy with the shocked and grief stricken entire village-community. He also paid a floral homage to the bodies of the deceased at the mass funerals and made a prayer for the departed souls.
Gujarat Law Minister Pradipsinhji Jadela, who was accompanying Mr Modil, also paid floral homage to the victims.
Chief Minister termed the incident as not just a “sorrowful” for the victims’ family members and relatives but also for the entire village-community and made a pray that almighty gives them strength to bear their woes. Mr Modi also declared a compensation of Rs. 1 Lakh each, from the Chief Minister Relief Fund, to the kin of deceased died in the accident. He also announced that all the medical expenditures of the injured persons will be paid by the State Government.
In a shock of this heart wrenching mishap, Chief Minister did not attend any of the cultural functions of the Modas-Aravalli Utsav.
In Kundolpal road accident CM declares assistance of Rs. 1 Lakh to next kin of deceased

The Chief Minister declared a compensation of Rs. 1 Lakh each, from the Chief Minister Relief Fund, to the kin of deceased who died in the accident. He also announced that all the medical expenditures of the injured persons will be paid by the State Government.
