Shri Narendra Modi meets Japan’s Ambassador to India Mr. Takeshi Yagi in Gandhinagar

Shri Modi discussed with Mr. Takeshi Yagi the strengthening of ties between Gujarat and Japan on economic, industrial and social development fronts.

Mr. Yagi visited Janmarg-BRTS and Sabarmati Riverfront and was highly impressed with both initiatives.

Two “Smart City” projects are proposed by Japan in Dahej and Sanand industrial zones of Gujarat.

Out of total 19 projects that Japan has planned in India, seven are going to be established in Gujarat.

On Monday 26th November 2012 the Japan’s Ambassador to India Mr. Takesai Yagi called on Shri Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar. They discussed the strengthening of ties between Gujarat and Japan on economic, industrial and social development fronts.

Mr. Yagi stated that a high-level delegation of Japan would visit Gujarat in January 2013 to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. Mr. Yagi also outlined the details of two seminars to be organized in February-March 2013 on the subjects of urban transport and Land and Infrastructure. He told to Shri Modi that out of total 19 projects that Japan has planned in India, seven are going to be set up in Gujarat. Two “Smart City” projects are proposed by Japan in Dahej and Sanand industrial zones of Gujarat.

Shri Modi assured full cooperation of Government for setting up of de-salination project in Dahej that will convert the saline water into potable water, and also assured for cooperation in development of high speed rail project in Dholera. Mr. Takeshi Yagi also showed interest in Gujarat's rooftop solar power panel pilot project.

Shri Modi had visited Japan on the invitation on the Japanese Government in July this year. The visit had been a grand success and the fruits of Shri Modi’s visit are reaped in the form of increased scope of investments by Japanese companies in Gujarat, and strengthened industrial ties between Japan and Gujarat. Shri Modi had also discussed about the huge potentials of collaboration of Government of Japan, Government of India and Gujarat Government for the development of  Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project.

The metro rail project i.e. Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) has remained close to Shri Modi, and he has personally taken keen interest in the development of the project. The Vibrant Gujarat Summit has reaped the fruits; DMIC has received full backing of Japanese Government.

Mr. Takeshi Yagi visited Janmarg-BRTS and Sabarmati Riverfront and was highly impressed with both the initiatives.

Principal Secretary (Industries) Mr. Maheshwar Sahu and Secretary to Hon’ble CM Mr. AK Sharma and other senior officials were present on the occasion.

Under Rozgar Mela, PM to distribute more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will distribute more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits on 23rd December at around 10:30 AM through video conferencing. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord highest priority to employment generation. It will provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their participation in nation building and self empowerment.

Rozgar Mela will be held at 45 locations across the country. The recruitments are taking place for various Ministries and Departments of the Central Government. The new recruits, selected from across the country will be joining various Ministries/Departments including Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, among others.
