A session of SWAGAT online grievance redressal programme held in Gandhinagar

CM gives necessary directives to the district functionaries for satisfactory solution of people’s problems

Chief Minister Narendra Modi held SWAGAT online grievance redressal programme today at Gandhinagar. Chief Minister heard the representations made by people and gave necessary directives to the district functionaries for satisfactory solution of people’s problems.

Chief Minister organizes a session of SWAGAT programme on fourth Thursday of every month in the presence of taluka and district-level officials and concerned state-level officials of secretary cadre. So far, nearly 2.50 lakh grievances have been received under the programme and about 91% of them had been redressed on the spot in the presence of complainants.

It is noteworthy that SWAGAT programme has proved very successful in effective redressal of people’s grievances. The programme has also bagged UN award for public service. All the 18,000 villages, 225 talukas and 26 districts of Gujarat have been covered under the programme.

Additional Principal Secretary G.C.Murmu and other officials related with the programme were present during today’s session.

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
