The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will visit Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on 1 March 2019. He will unveil a series of development projects for Kanyakumari and Tamil Nadu. PM Modi inaugurated India's longest Chenani-Nashri road tunnel. While addressing a public meeting in Udhampur, the PM said that the tunnel matched global standards and would significantly add to growth of Jammu and Kashmir. The PM added, Some misguided youngsters are pelting stones but on the othr hand, youth of Kashmir are using the same stones to build infrastructure. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today dedicated India’s longest road tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir. The Chenani-Nashri tunnel matches global standards and would benefit people of the state by cutting travel time between Jammu and Srinagar by up to two hours.
