BIMSTEC Leaders' Retreat 2016 Outcome Document

BIMSTEC leaders met in Goa. They deliberated to intensify the efforts to realise the objectives and purposes of BIMSTEC as outlined in the 1997 Bangkok Declaration, and reaffirm that BIMSTEC has considerable potential for economic and social development through mutually beneficial cooperation in the identified priority areas. They pledged to work collectively towards making BIMSTEC stronger, more effective, and result oriented.

PM Narendra Modi condoled the passing away of the King of Thailand H.M. Bhumibol Adulyadej. People of India and I join the people of Thailand in grieving the loss of one of the tallest leaders of our times, King Bhumibol Adulyadej. King Bhumibol Adulyadej or Rama 9, was widely revered by his people. My thoughts are with his countless well-wishers and family, the PM said.
