In a dynamic gathering at The Ashoka, Delhi, the Viksit Bharat Ambassador Meet-up witnessed a remarkable assembly of over 200 individuals, including Indian alums from prestigious global universities and notable entrepreneurs. Hosted under the flagship banner of Viksit Bharat Ambassador, the event marked the 26th edition of this people-powered movement.

Over 200 alumni from illustrious institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Wharton, Oxford, Cambridge, and IIT converged at the VBA2024 meet-up alongside EDGE entrepreneurs representing leading startups and firms like Onida and prominent real estate ventures.

Graced by the esteemed presence of Mr Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Cabinet Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, the event saw insightful discussions on India's journey towards becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047. Minister Vaishnaw articulated the significant strides taken over the past decade, attributing India's progress to meticulous planning and focused execution under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

"I am working with a boss who works practically 24 hours a day, not taking a single vacation..," Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw acknowledged PM Narendra Modi's exceptional work ethic and noted his relentless dedication to the nation.

Minister Vaishnaw highlighted four pillars driving India's growth, including substantial public investment in physical, digital, and social infrastructure, a focus on inclusive growth, simplification of goals, and a push for manufacturing. He underscored the substantial increase in railway track construction and electrification, indicative of the government's commitment to infrastructure development.

Moreover, the Minister shed light on initiatives such as the Swachh Bharat Mission and Jan Dhan Yojana, emphasising their role in bringing about transformative changes across the nation. He also discussed the paradigm shift in sectors like telecom and law, citing examples of legislative reforms and simplification efforts.

Furthermore, Vaishnaw lauded the government's emphasis on indigenous production and capacity building, exemplified by initiatives like Make in India. He emphasised the revival of India's cultural consciousness as crucial in fostering national strength and pride.

The event concluded with attendees inspired to carry forward the spirit of Viksit Bharat in their respective domains, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development vision. As India continues its journey towards becoming a Viksit Bharat, VBA 2024 Meet-ups seek to catalyse collective action towards this progress.

During the Delhi Meet-up, Akhilesh Mishra, CEO of BlueKraft Digital Foundation, guided how to become a Viksit Bharat Ambassador. He detailed ten practical steps that attendees could take to make a meaningful contribution to the vision of Viksit Bharat.

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
