Viksit Bharat Ambassadors in Mumbai convened at the National Stock Exchange in Bandra, Mumbai, for an interesting gathering. The meetup drew an audience of over 300 eminent industrialists, healthcare professionals, chartered accountants, and professionals, including representatives from the vibrant start-up community of the EDGE platform and esteemed members of the film fraternity.

The event, graced by the esteemed presence of Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Railways, Communications, and IT, was marked by insightful discussions and interactions to foster growth and innovation in Mumbai's entrepreneurial ecosystem. Before the public proceedings, Sh. Vaishnaw engaged in private meetings with leading entrepreneurs and representatives from the film industry, urging them to actively participate in the democratic process by exercising their voting rights.

During his address, Sh. Vaishnaw provided a comprehensive overview of the transformative journey of India's railways and telecommunications sectors. He emphasized the government's commitment to driving sustainable development and connectivity across the nation, and highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance mobile network infrastructure, including installing 5G mobile towers, to meet the evolving needs of India's digital economy.

Furthermore, Sh. Vaishnaw announced plans to establish three additional corridors for high-speed trains, underscoring the government's vision to revolutionize the country's transportation infrastructure and facilitate faster, more efficient connectivity between major cities.

Minister of Communications, IT, and Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw expressed optimism about India's potential to become one of the top seven semiconductor manufacturers globally within the next five to six years. He highlighted the rapid development in the semiconductor industry in India and cited the extension of fiscal support to several projects, including those by Micron, Tata Electronics, and CG Power, in partnership with Renesas. Vaishnaw emphasized the significance of India's semiconductor subsidy scheme and predicted that global brands would soon integrate chips made in India into their products.

Regarding manufacturing as a pivotal aspect of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Viksit Bharat" vision, Vaishnaw stressed the importance of bringing high-quality jobs to young Indians through initiatives like the production-linked incentive scheme. He responded to concerns about Indian consumers' preference for Chinese smartphones by advocating for a shift towards export-led growth, citing Apple's substantial exports of iPhones from India as evidence of the country's potential in the global market.

The Viksit Bharat Ambassador event was attended by prominent figures, including filmmaker Subhash Ghai and actor-turned-politician Shekhar Suman. Residents, such as Akanksha Rathi and Naresh Ojha, echoed pride in India's economic growth and praised the government's initiatives for bringing about positive changes in infrastructure and governance.

Renowned Indian film director Subhash Ghai expressed optimism about India's developmental trajectory under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Ghai supported PM Modi's continued leadership for a third term, citing his track record of inclusive governance and development.

Actor Shekhar Suman echoed similar sentiments, urging citizens to exercise their voting rights and highlighting the significant strides made under PM Modi's leadership for the country's development.

In his closing remarks, Sh. Vaishnaw reflected on India's resilience and stability amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, applauding the nation's efforts in maintaining steady economic growth and emerging as a beacon of hope amidst global uncertainties.
