Ratan Tata and Cyrus Mistry pays courtesy visit to Guj CM

Tata group chairman Mr.Ratan Tata and his successor Mr.Cyrus Mistry paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today and evinced interest in expanding business ties with the state for mutual growth.

Mr.Rantan Tata introduced Mr.Mistry to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister extended good wishes to Mr. Mystry who is taking charge of Tata Group in December 2012.

Mr. Tata said that he takes Gujarat as his home and that the state is very special to his heart. He also praised Mr.Modi’s leadership for bringing industrial growth, good governance, transparent administration, qualitative change in socio-economic scenario in Gujarat.

Both the top office bearers of the Tata group expressed interest in knowing about Gujarat’s initiatives in energy sector, especially in geothermal energy. They also welcomed the Chief Minister’s call to partner the state in human resource development, apart from the industrial development

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
