Representatives of the Global Poverty Project appreciate various initiatives of Government
Representatives of the Global Poverty Project called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today. They included Mr. Hugh Evans – CEO Global Poverty Project, Mr. Chris Martin, Ms. Freida Pinto, Mr. Dave Holmes, and Mr. Vijay Nair.
They appreciated the Swachh Bharat, Namaami Gange and Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao initiatives of the Prime Minister, and reaffirmed their support to these causes.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi attended Sankranti and Pongal celebrations at the residence of his ministerial colleague, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, today. Shri Modi remarked that people across India celebrate Sankranti and Pongal with great fervour. "It is a celebration of gratitude, abundance and renewal, deeply rooted in the agricultural traditions of our culture", Prime Minister Shri Modi stated.
