April 12, 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Germany. This was the second leg of his three nation tour. As soon as he touched down at the Hannover airport in Germany, the PM took to twitter and wrote “Hallo Germany!”

There were huge crowd on the streets of Hannover. People were just waiting eagerly to catch a sight of PM Modi. There was great enthusiasm among the crowd and the moment was cheerful. Shri Narendra Modi reached out and shook hands with the people waiting there.

The first day in Germany began with holding extensive talks with German CEOs and leaders.

Shri Modi met the Lord Mayor of Hannover and presented him a
Madhubani Painting depicting various stages of life, association with nature and also the interconnected nature of life on Earth. It was painted by a 70-year old national award winning artist Smt. Baua Devi. This rural art form originated in Mithila region, an area in the eastern Indian state of Bihar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also unveiled the Statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Hannover and paid tributes to
Bapu. There he spoke about how Gandhiji has been a source of inspiration for the entire world.

Ahead of the inauguration of the Hannover fair, the India Prime Minister was given a warm reception at the Hannover City Hall in Germany. He thanked the Lord Mayor for the warm gestures. There he conveyed the vast scope of opportunities in India. Shri Narendra Modi also got into an interaction with some of the Indian students at Hannover.

Later, Prime Minister Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel jointly inaugurated the Hannover Messe. It is the world’s largest Industrial fair. Prime Minister Modi expressed his joy for India being a partner country at the Hannover fair this year. He happily noted Germany’s effort for pushing the ‘Make in India’ initiative. At the event, the PM started by saying, “Lions are the symbol of a new India.” The PM outlaid his vision of where there was economic stability, jobs for people and best of the infrastructure.

Considering Germany to be a valued partner and a leader in technological innovations, he sought the German partnership for opening up India’s seamless economic potential. Shri Modi focussed on skill development for the youth.

PM Narendra Modi further added that ‘Make in India’ was neither a brand nor a slogan. He said it to be a national movement for India. He highlighted the efforts being made by the Government of India to create a stable economic environment that inspires confidence at home and abroad. He added the Government was committed to building a tax regime that was predictable, stable and competitive.

Shri Narendra Modi pitched high and invited the businesses to set up in India and ‘Make in India.’ He considered himself to be privileged for have got the chance to be at the Hannover Messe. He assured the business hubs that the Indian Government would carry out all necessary measures to make it easy for doing business operations in the country. Shri Modi presented India’s economic stability and the desire to grow as a force of peace and stability in the world.

PM Modi did not miss the chance to congratulate the Indian hockey team for having secured Bronze in the Azlan Shah Cup. He took to twitter and extended his wishes to the Indian team. Shri Modi also extended his wishes to Sania Mirza for securing the World No. 1 title.

PM to participate in ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ on 24 November

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ programme on 24 November at around 5:30 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Odisha Parba is a flagship event conducted by Odia Samaj, a trust in New Delhi. Through it, they have been engaged in providing valuable support towards preservation and promotion of Odia heritage. Continuing with the tradition, this year Odisha Parba is being organised from 22nd to 24th November. It will showcase the rich heritage of Odisha displaying colourful cultural forms and will exhibit the vibrant social, cultural and political ethos of the State. A National Seminar or Conclave led by prominent experts and distinguished professionals across various domains will also be conducted.
