PM Modi addressed the people of India at Nav Matdata Sammelan. He said, “The age between 18 to 25 shapes the life of a youth as they witness dynamic changes in their lives”. He added that along with these changes they also become a part of various responsibilities and during this Amrit Kaal, strengthening the democratic process of India is also the responsibility of India’s youth. He said, “The next 25 years are crucial for both India and its youth. It is the responsibility of the youth to transform India into a Viksit Bharat by 2047.”

Honouring India’s freedom fighters, PM Modi remarked that many of India’s freedom fighters belonged to the age group of 18-25 years. He said, “India’s ability in the sectors of Space, Defence, Manufacturing, Technology, and Innovation will depend on its youth. He added that it is your vote that will determine India’s future.

Emphasizing the power of a vote, PM Modi stated, “Today, if India has achieved pioneering reforms, digital infrastructure & a robust and resilient economy, it is a testimony to the power of a vote. He added that as the brimming youth of this nation, the youth must cast their vote to ensure the continuity of these pioneering reforms.

Speaking on the ability to reform with a stable government in power, PM Modi said “It is due to a stable government that abrogation of Article 370, implementation of GST, passage of Nari Shakti Vandan Act & incoming of large-scale FDI could be made possible”. Over the last 10 years the government has only aimed at creating reforms, PM Modi added. He said, “Over the last 10 years, the government has transformed from corruption to credibility in governance and from scams to success stories in achievements.” He added that we have only facilitated opportunities for India across sectors.

Speaking on the abilities of youth, PM Modi said that this is the right time and the youth of India are envisaging big targets and achieving them. For the same, PM Modi said, “The role of youth is important to meet the various renewable energy targets including zero emission-based Indian Railways by 2030 and India’s Net-Zero emissions by 2070”. Indian youth also must pioneer electric mobility and 100% rail electrification he added.

Hailing Indian youth, PM Modi said, “Indian youth possess tradition and talent along with inspiration and innovation. He said that the people of India look up to its youth to achieve the impossible. For the same, the government has only aided this developmental process by providing the much-needed enrichment in terms of reforms and infrastructure, PM Modi added.

Addressing the issue of corruption and dynastic politics, PM Modi said, “The youth of India must ensure that governance doesn’t fall in the hands of political parties promoting corruption and dynastic politics.” He added, “The role of youth is to enable ‘Let us vote & let us make them vote’ for a prosperous and secure India.”

In conclusion, he said, “The youth of India must exercise their power to vote and must express their opinions on the NaMo app.” He added that it is the youth who through their Jan-Bhagidari will not only shape the BJP’s election manifesto but will also shape the future policy course of India. Let us pledge not to leave anyone behind, urging everyone to vote, PM Modi added.

PM Modi to visit Mauritius from March 11-12, 2025

On the invitation of the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will pay a State Visit to Mauritius on March 11-12, 2025, to attend the National Day celebrations of Mauritius on 12th March as the Chief Guest. A contingent of Indian Defence Forces will participate in the celebrations along with a ship from the Indian Navy. Prime Minister last visited Mauritius in 2015.

During the visit, Prime Minister will call on the President of Mauritius, meet the Prime Minister, and hold meetings with senior dignitaries and leaders of political parties in Mauritius. Prime Minister will also interact with the members of the Indian-origin community, and inaugurate the Civil Service College and the Area Health Centre, both built with India’s grant assistance. A number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be exchanged during the visit.

India and Mauritius share a close and special relationship rooted in shared historical, cultural and people to people ties. Further, Mauritius forms an important part of India’s Vision SAGAR, i.e., Security and growth for All in the Region.

The visit will reaffirm the strong and enduring bond between India and Mauritius and reinforce the shared commitment of both countries to enhance the bilateral relationship across all sectors.
