Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a public meeting in Srinagar, Uttarakhand. PM Modi started his address by reiterating his connection with Uttarakhand. “People of Uttarakhand know my connection and my love for the ‘Devbhoomi’ of this state,” he said.

PM Modi spoke on the BJP’s vision for Uttarakhand. He said, “Uttarakhand BJP has released its ‘Sankalp Patra’ yesterday. This Sankalp Patra will play a big role in making this decade, the decade of Uttarakhand. For the development of Uttarakhand, new resolutions have been taken keeping in mind the youth, women, farmers and everyone here.” PM Modi added, “The Multi-Modal Logistics Park and Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal is going to open thousands of new employment opportunities for new industries in Uttarakhand.”

PM Modi paid rich tributes to General Bipin Rawat and said that he was pained to see the Congress party use cut-outs of General Rawat to seek votes during their rallies in the state.

Hitting and calling out the fallacies of the opposition, PM Modi said, “I am sad that some people had questioned the Army’s actions when the surgical strikes happened. These people did a lot of politics even after making General Rawat the first CDS of the country. They even called him Sadak Ka Gunda. Such is the hatred of these people for the soldiers of the country.” PM Modi further told that when congress was in power at both state and central levels, Uttarakhand was pushed back from all sides by applying double brakes.

Talking about the success of Double Engine Sarkar in the state, PM Modi said, “Under the Char Dham project, an all-weather road is being built. Similarly, work on big projects like the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line is also progressing. Due to this, the number of tourists will increase, employment will also increase, and facilities for education and treatment will also increase”. PM Modi also told the people how the budget has allocated appropriate funding for the ‘Parvatmala’ Project and push for Vibrant Village policy will also take new strides in the right direction.

Adding further to the holistic development of Uttarakhand, PM Modi said, “We started a campaign to deliver piped water to all households through the Jal Jeevan Mission. Today, piped water is reaching about 8 lakh houses in Uttarakhand. The entire 1.25 crore population of Uttarakhand has been given free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh through Atal Ayushman Yojana.” PM Modi also talked about rural roads and connectivity along with the developing medical infrastructure in the state.

PM Modi finally reiterated Double Engine Sarkar’s efforts during the pandemic. “We gave free vaccination to the poor. Free ration was given to every poor during the Corona period. Be it farmers or poor, our government is directly transferring money to bank accounts without any leakages,” he added.
