पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी आज ‘अमूल’च्या अत्याधुनिक चॉकलेट प्लान्टसह अद्ययावत अन्न प्रक्रिया सुविधेचे आणंद इथे उद्‌घाटन केले. चॉकलेट प्लान्टला त्यांनी भेट दिली आणि वापरण्यात येणाऱ्या विविध तंत्रज्ञानाची तसेच इथे तयार होणाऱ्या उत्पादनांची माहिती घेतली.
आज उद्‌घाटन झालेले विकास प्रकल्प सहकार क्षेत्रासाठी लाभदायक आहेत.
अमूल हा ब्रान्ड जगभरात ओळखला जात असून, तो प्रेरकही ठरला आहे. अमूल केवळ दुग्ध प्रक्रियेविषयी नाही तर सक्षमीकरणाचे ते आदर्श मॉडेल आहे. हे आगळे मॉडेल असून, इथे जनता महत्वाची आहे. गुजरातमध्ये सहकार क्षेत्रात झालेल्या प्रयत्नामुळे जनता विशेष करून शेतकऱ्याना फायदा झाल्याचे ते म्हणाले.
नागरी विकासावर सरदार पटेल यांनी भर दिला होता याचे स्मरण पंतप्रधानांनी केले. 2022 मधे भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्याच्या 75 व्या वर्षाचा संदर्भ देत, दुग्ध प्रक्रिया क्षेत्रात भारत उत्तम आहे. मात्र यापेक्षा जास्त चांगले कार्य करता येऊ शकेल असे ते म्हणाले. कल्पकता आणि मूल्यवर्धनाला महत्व देण्याचा काळ असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. याच संदर्भात त्यांनी मध उत्पादनाबाबतही माहिती दिली.
