सीएसआयआरच्या 75 व्या वर्धापन दिनानिमित्त पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी अमृतमहोत्सवी वर्ष कार्यक्रमाचे आज उद्‌घाटन केले.

सीएसआयआरच्या विविध उपक्रमांची माहिती देणाऱ्या प्रदर्शनाला पंतप्रधानांनी भेट दिली. काही औषधी आणि सुगंधी वनस्पती त्यांनी राष्ट्राला समर्पित केल्या तसेच हैदराबाद, कडलूर, जम्मू, जोरहाट आणि पालमपूर इथून आलेल्या शेतकऱ्यांशी त्यांनी संवाद साधला.
सीएसआयआरने जीवनाच्या प्रत्येक अंगावर आपला अवीट ठसा उमटवला असल्याचे पंतप्रधानांनी यावेळी सांगितले. तंत्रज्ञान लाभार्थ्यांपर्यंत पोहोचावे यासाठी तंत्रज्ञान व्यापार सुलभतेसाठी मंच स्थापन करण्याचे आवाहन त्यांनी सीएसआयआरला केले.
विज्ञान आणि तंत्रज्ञानाचा उपयोग करुन घेतल्याशिवाय कुठलेही राष्ट्र विकास करु शकत नाही, याला इतिहास साक्ष आहे, असे पंतप्रधानांनी सांगितले. सामान्य माणसाचा ज्यातून फायदा होतो ते सफल तंत्रज्ञान, असे ते म्हणाले. देशासाठी गेली 75 वर्ष योगदान देत असल्याबद्दल पंतप्रधानांनी सीएसआयआरचे कौतुक केले आणि भविष्यात संस्थेकडून भरपूर अपेक्षा असल्याचे सांगितले. हे शतक तंत्रज्ञान प्रेरित असून नागरिकांना विज्ञानाशी जोडणे महत्त्वाचे आहे, असे पंतप्रधान म्हणाले.

सीएसआयआरच्या प्रयोगशाळांमध्ये संशोधन करण्याची अधिकाधिक संधी देण्याची गरज त्यांनी व्यक्त केली. देशात नव्या उद्योजकांच्या उदयात सीएसआयआरची भूमिका महत्त्वाची असल्याचे ते म्हणाले. कृषी उत्पादकतेबद्दल बोलतांना ते म्हणाले की, “प्रति थेंब अधिक पीक” यावर आपण नेहमीच भर दिला आहे. आता दुसरे उद्दिष्ट “ जमिनीचा प्रत्येक इंच आणि पिकांचा घोस” असे असले पाहिजे.
विज्ञान भवनात उपस्थित असलेल्या शालेय विद्यार्थ्यांशी पंतप्रधानांनी नंतर मंचावरुन उतरुन संवाद साधला.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today inaugurated CSIR’s Platinum Jubilee Function on the occasion of its 75th Foundation Day.

The Prime Minister visited an exhibition showcasing several initiatives of CSIR. He also dedicated some medicinal and aromatic plant varieties to the nation, interacted with farmers from five different locations across the country: Hyderabad, Cuddalore, Jammu, Jorhat and Palampur.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that starting with the indelible ink which is the hallmark of our democratic fabric, CSIR has left an indelible mark on every sphere of life. He urged CSIR to create an 'Ease of doing Technology Business' platform to bring in right stakeholders so technologies reach beneficiaries.

The Prime Minister said history bears witness to the fact that no nation can develop, unless it has the benefit of science and technology. He said that a successful technology is one, which provides benefit to the common man. Complimenting CSIR for it contributions to the nation over the last 75 years, the Prime Minister said he expected a lot more from the organization in the future. He said it is important to connect science with citizens in this century, which is technology driven.

The Prime Minister said an attempt should be made to give maximum opportunity to students to perform research at CSIR Laboratories. He added that CSIR has a key role to play in the emergence of new entrepreneurs in the country. Talking about agriculture productivity, he said that while he has always stressed on “per drop, more crop,” another objective should be “an inch of land, and a bunch of crops.”

The Prime Minister later came down from the dais, to interact with schoolchildren who were present in the audience at Vigyan Bhawan.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will distribute more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits on 23rd December at around 10:30 AM through video conferencing. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord highest priority to employment generation. It will provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their participation in nation building and self empowerment.

Rozgar Mela will be held at 45 locations across the country. The recruitments are taking place for various Ministries and Departments of the Central Government. The new recruits, selected from across the country will be joining various Ministries/Departments including Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, among others.
