PM Modi campaigns in Haridwar, Uttarakhand
Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand does not deserve a tainted and corrupt government: PM ModiAtal ji created Uttarakhand with great hope and promise but successive governments did not fulfil his dreams: PMUttarakhand needs two engines, the state government under BJP and the Central government to take the state to new heights: PMBJP is dedicated to open up new avenues for youth and ensure welfare of farmers: Shri Modiपंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी आज उत्तराखंडमधील हरिद्वार येथे विराट सभेला संबोधीत केले. श्री मोदी यांनी इतक्या मोठ्या संख्येने सभेला उपस्थित राहिल्या बद्दल जनतेचे आभार मानले.
श्री मोदी म्हणाले उत्तराखंड ही देव भूमी आहे. येथे कलंकित आणि भ्रष्ट सरकार असणे योग्य नाही. “उत्तराखंड सरकारचा भ्रष्टाचार सर्वश्रुत आहे. तरी देखील इथले नेते त्याबद्दल बेफिकीर आहेत,” श्री मोदी पुढे म्हणाले.
पंतप्रधान मोदी म्हणाले उत्तराखंडच्या जनतेपुढे केवळ निवडणुका आणि उमेदवार हेच प्रश्न नव्हते, तर सर्वांना अभिमान वाटेल असे राज्य निर्माण करणे के महत्वाचे होते. “जेव्हा एखादा मुलगा किंवा मुलगी १६ किंवा १७ वर्षांचे होतात, तेव्हा ते आयुष्याच्या एका फार महत्वाच्या टप्प्यात प्रवेश करतात. त्यापुढचा टप्पा देखील, तितकाच महत्वाचा असतो. त्याचप्रमाणे, २००० साली जन्माला आलेलं उत्तराखंड हे राज्य देखील एका निर्णायक टप्प्यावर आलं आहे. आणि पुढील पाच वर्षे अतिशय महत्वाची आहेत.”
श्री मोदींनी उत्तराखंड राज्याच्या निर्मितीत माजी पंतप्रधान अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी यांच्या योगदानाची उपस्थित जनसमुदायाला आठवण करून दिली. ते म्हणाले, “उत्तराखंड राज्य बनविताना अटलजींना खूप आशा होत्या. नवीन राज्याची काळजी घेणे ही केंद्र सरकारची जबाबदारी होती. पण त्यानंतर आलेल्या सरकारांनी उत्तराखंड कडे साफ दुर्लक्ष केले. अटलजींचे स्वप्न पूर्ण करण्यासाठी नंतरच्या सरकारांनी काहीच केले नाही.”
श्री मोदी असेही म्हणाले की, उत्तराखंड राज्याची भरभराट व्हावी अशी केंद्र सरकारची इच्छा होती. त्यामुळेच चार धाम जोडणाऱ्या रस्त्यासाठी १२,००० कोटी रुपये देण्यात आले. “उत्तराखंड राज्याला दोन इंजिन हवे आहेत. एक भाजपाचे राज्य सरकार आणि दुसरे केंद्रातले सरकार. दोन्ही सरकारे मिळून उत्तराखंड राज्याला नवीन उंचीवर घेऊन जातील.”
श्री मोदी पुढे म्हणाले की, उत्तराखंड राज्याची प्रगती ही भाजपाची प्राथमिकता आहे. राज्यात युवकांसाठी नवनव्या संधी निर्माण करणे आणि शेतकऱ्यांच्या कल्याणासाठी भाजपा तयार आहे आणि कटिबद्ध आहे. नुकत्याच झालेल्या भूकंपानंतर केंद्र सरकारने ज्या तत्परतेने उत्तराखंड राज्याची मदत केली ते श्री. मोदींनी आपल्या भाषणात अधोरेखित केले. “जेव्हा काही दिवसांपूर्वी उत्तराखंडमध्ये भूकंप आला, तेव्हा पंतप्रधान कार्यालयाकडून सर्व परिस्थितीवर बारकाईने लक्ष ठेवले जात होते. मदत आणि बचाव कार्यासाठी अनेक चमू लगेचच राज्यात पाठविण्यात आल्या होत्या. जेव्हा केदारनाथ आणि उत्तराखंडच्या इतर भागात आपत्ती आली, तेव्हा एक काँग्रेस नेता विदेशात होता. उत्तराखंड तर सोडाच, पण तो देशातही नव्हता,” श्री. मोदी पुढे म्हणाले.
श्री. मोदी म्हणतात, उत्तराखंड ही शूरांची भूमी आहे. “काँग्रेसला सैन्याच्या शौर्याची कदर आणि आदर नाही. ते ४० वर्ष सत्तेत असूनही OROP चा प्रश्न सोडवू शकले नाहे. जेंव्हा आम्ही सत्तेत आलो, तेंव्हा आम्ही ठरवलं. माजी सैनिकांच्या आणि अधिकाऱ्यांच्या समस्या जाणून घेतल्या आणि OROP लागू केले.”
“आपल्या सैन्याने नियंत्रण रेषेपलीकडे जाऊन सर्जिकल स्ट्राईक केले, त्यांनी आपल्या अफाट ताकदीचे उदाहरण दिले. पण काही लोक हे मान्य करायला तयार नाहीत. त्यांना ह्याचे पुरावे हवे आहेत! हाच का तुमचा सैन्याबद्दलचा अभिमान?” श्री. मोदींनी विचारले.
