For the Congress, welfare of Chhattisgarh is not a priority. Their priority is to serve one family: PM Modi
Shocking that Congress leaders, who are out on bail question steps like demonetisation, which led to crackdown on several shell firms: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a huge public meeting in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh today. PM Modi lauded the hardworking BJP Karyakartas in Chhattisgarh who have been working tirelessly to serve the people of Chhattisgarh and making them aware of the government’s initiatives. The PM also attacked the Congress for neglecting the welfare of Chhattisgarh when they were in power at Centre.

Interacting with the huge crowd, the PM said that elections were like a festival for a democracy and he urged people to turn out in large numbers to cast their vote. “Pehle Matdaan, Phir Jalpaan”, the PM said at the rally.

Stating that the BJP’s focus was only development, PM Modi rejected politics on the grounds of caste, creed and gender, clearly stating that such a thing was unacceptable. To take the country to newer heights of glory, Shri Modi said that it was necessary to focus on all-round development. In this context, the PM also cited various development measures undertaken by the BJP-led NDA Government at Centre.

Coming down heavily on the Congress, Shri Modi questioned them for neglecting the development of Chhattisgarh when they were in power at Centre. “Why were both Chhattisgarh as well as Madhya Pradesh considered as Bimaru states when the Congress was in power”, asked the PM adding that the BJP led governments in these states as well as the Centre were leaving no stone unturned to fulfil aspirations of people.

“For the Congress, welfare of Chhattisgarh is not a priority. Their priority is to serve one family”, Shri Modi added further.

The PM also hit out at the Congress for questioning the BJP government for the work being done in Chhattisgarh. He said, “I am shocked that a few Congress leaders, who are out on bail question us what have we done for welfare of people! Congress never sees the development measures undertaken to uplift people from poverty, Congress never sees the welfare measures we have taken for financial inclusion of people or measures like ensuring LPG gas connections. But Congress questions steps like demonetisation, which led to crackdown on several shell firms.”

Concluding his speech, the Prime Minister laid out the BJP’s vision for all-round progress of the state and urged people to vote in large numbers. Several party leaders from the state and karyakartas were present at the occasion.
