पंतप्रधान श्री नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी आज इकॉनोमिक टाइम्स ग्लोबल बिझनेस समिटला संबोधित केले. यावेळी ते म्हणाले 2013-14 मध्ये जेव्हा महागाईने उच्चांक गाठला होता, वित्तीय तूट प्रचंड वाढलेली होती आणि देश धोरण लकव्याने ग्रस्त होता त्या काळाशी तुलना करता आज झालेला बदल स्पष्ट दिसत आहे.
संकोचाची जागा आता आशेने घेतली आहे तर अडथळ्यांच्या जागी आशावाद दिसतो आहे.
यावेळी पंतप्रधान म्हणाले की 2014 पासून भारताने विविध आंतरराष्ट्रीय मानांकनामध्ये खूप सुधार केला आहे ते पुढे म्हणाले की मानांकने ही प्रत्यक्ष सुधारणा झाल्यानंतर बदलतात यावेळी त्यांनी व्यापार सुलभीकरण रँकिंग मध्ये झालेल्या सुधारणेचे उदाहरण दिले. यावेळी ते म्हणाले की जागतिक नवोपक्रम निर्देशांकामधील भारताचे स्थान 2014मधील 76 वरून 2018 मध्ये 57 वर पोहोचले आहे व यातून नवीन उपक्रमांमध्ये होत असलेली वाढ सहज दिसून येते
यावेळी पंतप्रधानांनी 2014 पूर्वीच्या आणि नंतरच्या विविध स्पर्धांचे उदाहरण दिले ते म्हणाले की आज स्पर्धा ही विकास, पूर्ण स्वच्छता, पुर्ण विद्युतीकरण, जास्त गुंतवणूक अशा आकांक्षांच्या उद्दिष्टांची आहे परंतु पूर्वी स्पर्धा ही दिरंगाई आणि भ्रष्टाचाराची होती.
काही गोष्टी भारतात करणे केवळ अशक्य आहे अशा प्रकारच्या समजुतीचे त्यांनी यावेळी खंडन केले. अशक्य आता शक्य झाले आहे असे सांगून ते म्हणाले की भारताने स्वच्छता, भ्रष्टाचार मुक्ती, आदी क्षेत्रांमध्ये खूप प्रगती केली आहे आणि गरीब जनतेकडून तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर मोठ्या प्रमाणावर होत आहे ज्यातून मनमानी निर्णयप्रक्रियेला आळा बसला आहे. यावेळी ते म्हणाले की अशी एक समजूत निर्माण करण्यात आली आहे की सरकार हे विकास आणि गरीबी निर्मूलन एकाच वेळी करू शकत नाही परंतु भारतीय लोकांनी ही समजूत खोडून काढली आहे. ते म्हणाले की 2014 ते 2019 या काळात भारताने 7.4 टक्के वेगाने विकास केला तसेच महागाईची पातळी ही साडेचार टक्क्यांपेक्षा कमी राहिली. उदारीकरणानंतरच्या युगात कुठल्याही सरकारशी तुलना करता हा विकासाचा सर्वोच्च दर तसेच महागाईचा नीचांक आहे.
गेल्या चार वर्षांमध्ये भारतात झालेली थेट परकीय गुंतवणूक ही 2014 पूर्वीच्या सात वर्षात झालेल्या गुंतवणुकीपेक्षा सुद्धा जास्त आहे व हे करण्यासाठी भारताला खूप बदल करावे लागले. दिवाळखोरी कायदा, वस्तू आणि सेवा कर कायदा, स्थावर मालमत्ता कायदा ही अशी काही उदाहरणे आहेत की ज्यामुळे पुढील कित्येक दशकांसाठीच्या आर्थिक विकासाचा पाया रचला गेला आहे.
पंतप्रधान पुढे म्हणाले की भारत हा 130 कोटी आकांक्षांचा देश आहे आणि त्यामुळे विकासाचा केवळ एकमेव मार्ग असू शकत नाही, आमचा विकासाचा दृष्टिकोन हा समाजाच्या सर्व घटकातील लोकांचा त्यांच्या धर्म, जात, वंश या भिन्नतेच्या पलीकडे जाऊन विचार करतो.
यावेळी श्री नरेंद्र मोदी म्हणाले की नवीन भारताचा आमचा दृष्टीकोन हा भविष्यातील प्रश्नाबरोबरच भूतकाळातील प्रश्नांचाही विचार करतो. याबाबतीत उदाहरणे देताना ते म्हणाले की
· जसे भारताने वेगवान ट्रेन बनवली आहे तसेच मानवरहित रेल्वे क्रॉसिंग बंद केले आहेत
· एकीकडे भारताने आयआयटी आणि एम्स बनवले आहेत तर दुसरीकडे सर्व शाळांमध्ये शौचालय बनवले आहेत.
· भारत शंभर स्मार्ट सिटीज बनवत आहे आणि त्याच वेळेला 100 महत्वाकांक्षी जिल्ह्यांचा विकास ही करत आहे
· भारत वीज निर्यात करत आहे त्याच वेळी करोडो कुटुंबांना वीज पुरवठाही करतो आहे
सामाजिक क्षेत्रामध्ये केलेल्या सकारात्मक हस्तक्षेपाविषयी बोलताना पंतप्रधान म्हणाले की सरकार बारा कोटी छोट्या आणि वंचित शेतकऱ्यांना प्रति वर्ष सहा हजार रुपयांची मदत करत आहे याद्वारे शेतकऱ्यांना पुढील दहा वर्षांच्या कालावधीत साडेसात लाख कोटी रुपये हस्तांतरित होतील.
डिजिटल इंडिया, स्टार्टअप इंडिया, मेक इन इंडिया आदी उपक्रमांवर भर दिल्याचे फायदे आता दिसू लागले आहेत असे पंतप्रधान म्हणाले. भारतामध्ये नोंदणीकृत झालेल्या स्टार्टअप युनिट्स पैकी 44 टक्के युनिट्स ही छोट्या शहरांमधील आहेत, असे ते म्हणाले. तंत्रज्ञानामुळे मुळे आहे रे आणि नाही रे गटातील फरक कमी होत आहे असे ते म्हणाले. पंतप्रधान यावेळी म्हणाले की सरकार भारताला 10 ट्रिलीयन डॉलर आकाराची अर्थव्यवस्था बनवण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहेत व भारत नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा, विजेवर चालणाऱ्या गाड्या आणि ऊर्जा साठवून ठेवणारी उपकरणे आदी क्षेत्रात जगाचे नेतृत्व करेल.
