इटली मधील रोम शहरात झालेल्या कॅडेट (U-17) जागतिक कुस्ती स्पर्धेत उत्कृष्ट कामगिरी केल्याबद्दल पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी 17 वर्षांखालील भारतीय चमूचे अभिनंदन केले आहे.
एका ट्विटमध्ये पंतप्रधान म्हणाले;
"7 सुवर्णांसह 14 पदके (ज्यापैकी 5 महिला खेळाडूंनी जिंकली आहेत) आणि 32 वर्षांनंतर ग्रीको रोमन प्रकारात एक सुवर्ण, ही कॅडेट (U-17) जागतिक कुस्ती स्पर्धेत भारताची आतापर्यंतची सर्वोत्कृष्ट कामगिरी आहे. भारताने पदक तालिकेत देखील अव्वल स्थान पटकावले आहे. या चमूचे हार्दिक अभिनंदन."
