On the afternoon of 11th April, Shri Narendra Modi addressed the Bharat Vijay rally in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh, and urged the people to vote for the BJP and pave the way for the Nation’s development journey. Stating forth the Congress’ divisive and destructive practises, Shri Modi appealed to the people to vote them out and secure the future of India.
The Congress’ age-old practise of looting the Nation, with least respect for the sensitivities of its people, was stated by Shri Modi who said how, inspite of being in power for so long and gaining massive support from the people in the early years, the Central government had never bothered to work towards developing the Nation. Instead, Shri Modi said, they were only focused at filling their pockets by sweeping off the Nation’s assets.
Shri Modi spoke of the Congress’ refusal to acknowledge people’s queries on the grave concerns of price rise, corruption, unemployment, poverty etc., and attributed this unmoved stance of the Congress Party to their sky-high arrogance which had made them unaccountable for their devious policies and inappropriate actions. “Democracy is not in the character of the Congress. They survive on dynasty politics and think that the people are in their pockets. Expect nothing from the Congress. You should not think that they should do any good for you,” said Shri Modi. He also expressed surprise at the Congress’ preference for Shri Ajit Jogi, inspite of the many political defeats Shri Jogi had witnessed in the past. “There is something in Ajit Jogi ji. The Congress loses every time but still he is indispensable to Madam Sonia,” said Shri Modi.
Shri Modi recalled his childhood days spent in poverty and stated that the Congress Vice President’s upbringing in luxury was a far cry from Shri Modi’s difficult growing up years as a tea-seller. He said that his hardships faced then had reinforced his determination to serve the poor and empower the needy.
The BJP’s initiatives for people’s welfare were underscored by Shri Modi who spoke of how Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had initiated a separate Ministry for the welfare of Adivasis. He also highlighted the positive development witnessed in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh under the BJP government, and under the inspiring leadership of Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Dr. Raman Singh respectively.
Shri Modi further spoke of the unifying and empowering approach of the BJP by highlighting how the different states of – Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand – were created amicably under Shri Atal ji’s government, while the Congress, with its divisive and destructive approach, had only brought bloodshed with the creation of Telangana and Seemandhra.
He urged the people to vote for the BJP and assured them of ridding all their problems after the BJP comes to power in Delhi.
