Addressing a massive rally in Gohana (Sonepat district, Haryana), Shri Narendra Modi affirmed that the people of the nation, particularly the youth are no longer going to accept the false promises of the Congress Party. He said that the people now want development over everything else. He also pointed that the Congress and their leaders may be ‘Naamdaar’ but the BJP and its Karyakartas are ‘Kaamdaar.’ Shri Narendra Modi appealed to the people of Haryana to vote in large numbers on 10th April and elect the BJP and its allies.

Launching a scathing attack on the Congress Party Shri Modi said, “Congress made several promises but now times have changed. People want development and not divisive politics. People want opportunities and not opportunism. Youth wants skills, jobs and not petty politics and communalism.”

In his speech, Shri Modi also warned the people against those elements that are misleading the people and seeking votes in his name, adding that the only way to make Shri Modi the PM is to vote for the Lotus and the allies of the BJP. There is no other way, he categorically stated.

Uttar Pradesh:

Pride in BJP’s ideology and an assurance of the development of the country was conveyed by Shri Narendra Modi at his speeches in Baghpat and Amroha in Uttar Pradesh.

Retaliating to the Congress Vice President’s recent statement of ‘Modi not being a person, but an ideology’, Shri Modi gave a befitting reply by affirming that he was proud to be part of an ideology. Shahzada said Modi is an ideology. I am proud to be from an ideology. Our ideology is Nation is bigger than party. Our ideology is that India is everything for us, that society is bigger than family. We will live and die for the nation. Shahzada, you can't battle this ideology. Your whole family hasn't been able to match this ideology. Our ideology is not about aspiring for posts, it’s based of sacrifice,” stated Shri Modi, while challenging that the Congress could never compete with this ideology since it required ‘tyaag and tapasya’, which the Congress was incapable of.

Shri Modi stated how the Congress had supressed the mantra of ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’ given by Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, by letting soldiers killed and leaving farmers to die. He spoke of how the issue of “One Rank, One Pension” would have been solved if Shri Atal ji had won the 2004 elections, but the Congress has never been able to give a solution for this. Expressing shock at how the Central government had fed the Pakistan PM with chicken biryani even as Indian soldiers were being killed on the border, Shri Modi spoke of how such inhuman acts had demoralized the armed forces. “Couldn't we have told Pakistan PM that this can wait? No, but the Centre lacks that courage,” said Shri Modi. He also spoke of the distressing condition of sugarcane farmers, who weren’t paid well for their produce and left to die by the overburdening of loans.

Appreciating the efforts of Shri Chaudhary Charan Singh, initiated towards the welfare of farmers, Shri Modi spoke of how Charan Singh’s son – Civil Aviation Minister Shri Ajit Singh - had taken a completely different path, conflicting with his father’s ideologies. “Chaudhary Charan Singh was fed up of Congress, their policies against farmers. He came out against Congress. But, while it is the duty of every child to fulfil their parents' dream, Charan Singh’s son took a different path. A son cannot join those who ruined their father. It never happens. We admire Chaudhary Charan Singh but his own son has left his path. In a society if a son leaves the father's path, he cannot be accepted in that society and that too for power. Can you trust someone who betrayed the path of their father? Let them keep flying planes but Baghpat doesn't want Hawai Netas. Yeh hawai neta hai, unhe aapke raaste ki parwah nahi hai. Baghpat needs a leader who will walk shoulder to shoulder with the farmers. Jameeni neta chahiye, jo kisan ke saath kandhe se kandha milakar chale,” said Shri Modi.

Citing the lack of infrastructure development in UP, Shri Modi highlighted how Gujarat enjoyed 24x7 electricity across the State, while the people of UP had to spend long hours in darkness. He also spoke of the lack of foresightedness of the Congress at tapping the potential of cities like Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar and developing them into Satellite towns.  Talking about the grave concern of the security of women in UP, Shri Modi urged the people to vote for Shri Satyapal Singh, who has had a distinguished career as an IPS officer, and take the lead in ensuring a safe and secure society. “Law and order is poor and that’s why we have got a seasoned police officer. So, vote for him,” said Shri Modi.

Speaking on how the 2014 Elections would witness the end of the SABKA – SP, BSP and Congress, Shri Modi said, “These family parties...things can't change with them. Let’s free ourselves from dynasty politics. I urge you- we have to make the Government in Delhi but we need a Lotus from Baghpat also. Satya ka kamal khile aur Baghpat kshetra phale phoole,” affirmed Shri Modi.

Stating the special association Shri Modi shared with the land of Baghpat, he said that while this land was the ‘karma bhoomi’ of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, Shri Modi came from Gujarat which was the ‘janma bhoomi’ of the Maharshi. He also recalled the momentous contribution of Baghpat in the 1857 freedom struggle, and affirmed that while then it was about ‘Kamal and roti’ and an ‘Angrez Mukt Bharat’, in 2014, the elections were about ‘Kamal and Modi’ and working towards ensuring a Congress mukt Bharat.

Baba Bhairavdasji Maharaj, Captain Abhimanyu and Dr. Satyapal Singh were present on the occasion. Shri Satyapal Singh, who is the BJP candidate from Baghpat, spoke of how the region was lagging behind in development, and applauding the growth witnessed in Gujarat, said, “Modi ji, we want to see the same development as the people of Gujarat have seen. India wants a Swarna Yug under you.”

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired the 48th meeting of PRAGATI, the ICT-enabled, multi-modal platform aimed at fostering Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation, by seamlessly integrating efforts of the Central and State governments, at South Block, earlier today.

During the meeting, Prime Minister reviewed certain critical infrastructure projects across the Mines, Railways, and Water Resources sectors. These projects, pivotal to economic growth and public welfare, were reviewed with a focus on timelines, inter-agency coordination, and issue resolution.

Prime Minister underscored that delays in project execution come at the dual cost of escalating financial outlays and denying citizens timely access to essential services and infrastructure. He urged officials, both at the Central and State levels, to adopt a results-driven approach to translate opportunity into improving lives.

During a review of Prime Minister-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), Prime Minister urged all States to accelerate the development of health infrastructure, with a special focus on Aspirational Districts, as well as remote, tribal, and border areas. He emphasized that equitable access to quality healthcare must be ensured for the poor, marginalized, and underserved populations, and called for urgent and sustained efforts to bridge existing gaps in critical health services across these regions.

Prime Minister emphasised that PM-ABHIM provides a golden opportunity to States to strengthen their primary, tertiary and specialised health infrastructure at Block, District and State level to provide quality health care and services.

Prime Minister reviewed exemplary practices fostering Aatmanirbharta in the defence sector, undertaken by various Ministries, Departments, and States/UTs. He lauded these initiatives for their strategic significance and their potential to spur innovation across the defence ecosystem. Underscoring their broader relevance, Prime Minister cited the success of Operation Sindoor, executed with indigenous capabilities, as a powerful testament to India’s advancing self-reliance in defence sector.

Prime Minister also highlighted how the States can avail the opportunity to strengthen the ecosystem and contribute to Aatmanirbharta in defence sector.
