Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi, while dedicating the Bahirosingh Shekhawat over bridge in Isanpur on Thursday, said that Congress has accepted its defeat before the people of Gujarat. He lambasted the congress led UPA Government at the centre for its inability to compete Gujarat on development-fronts, nor it has the strength or succor to face Gujarat, its survival and existence solely depends on the C.B.I. Reiterating his commitment to development, C.M criticised the efforts that are aimed to stifle the Gujarat Government, at the same time he warned that they are never going to succeed in their evil motives. Atmosphere of peace and tranquil prevails in Gujarat since last 10 years, there is no incidence of clamping of curfew ever recorded in Gujarat during the period, but some elements are jealous of Gujarat’s progress and development. He warned, “Do not underestimate the strength of Gujarat, and do not try our patience and conscience. Gujarat would definitely give befitting reply to such moves.” Shri Modiji said that he would continue to fight against the elements that obstruct Gujarat’s development.

C.M rebutted congress for playing vote bank politics. It poses a great threat before the unity and integrity of our nation, minority appeasement is truly dangerous. Under a conspiracy, it aims to snatch the rights of dalits and Baxi-Pannch communities by giving reservation to those who have adopted conversion.

Chief Minister was speaking after dedicating the Bahirosingh Shekhawat Over Bridge in Isanpur, which has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 15 Cr in a span of just 22 months. It's worth mentioning that Shri Shekhawat had addressed a public rally from here, he also gave the model of Antyoday to the nation.

Ahmedabad has undergone a great transformation in the recent past. C.M elaborated upon the public private partnership in various development projects. Gujarat is doing very well on all fronts. Emphasizing the need for healthy competitions, Chief Minister regretted that the Centre is lacking the leader ship that can motivate the new generation. He also regretted the corruptions charges being leveled against the common-wealth games.

The MNREGA Scheme, which is aimed to provide employment, has become a den of corruption; even Central Planning Commission has accepted it in its report. CM made a demand to appoint J.P.C. to probe the corruption charges. In Gujarat there is no such incidence recorded in implementation of MNREGA, even the probe committee sent by the Centre could not find anything.

The success of BRTS is the shining example that Gujarat is totally transparent in its development initiatives. CM raised a question that why the BRTS project could not take off in Delhi? He said that his crusade against the middlemen will continue, he would carry on the Seva-Yagna of providing the tools of development straight in to the hands of the poor.

Earlier, delivering welcome address, Mayor Shri Kanaji Thakor gave the blue print of Ahmadabad’s development. Revenue Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel, Chief Whip in the Assembly Shri Pradipsinhji Jadeja, City BJP President Shri Rakesh Shah, MLA Shri Vallabh Kakadiya, Babubhai Patel, AUDA Chairman Shri Dharmendra Shah, eminent leaders was also present on the occasion.
