Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi has termed ‘Samuh Lagnotsav’ (Mass Wedding Ceremony) as social-revolution, a right step in right direction.
‘The Jasdan Taluka Samuha Lagnotsav Committee’ had hosted mass-wedding ceremony with the Support of MLA Dr. Bharat Boghra and Jasdan Darbar Satyajitkumar Khachar.
A unique initiative indeed, under which mass-wedding function was organised, couples belonging to all the religions took part in to it. It had witnessed wedding-ceremony of as many as 345 couples belonging to 27 castes and communities. The newly wed couples sought blessings of the Chief Minister.
CM complimented the organisers for their initiative; people belonging to different religions, socio-economic background have come under one forum without any hesitation or discrimination, which is manifesting the spirit of social unity and integrity. Buzzing with spirit of social integration, it shows the path to all, added CM.
Chief Minister wished happy married life to them. Revolutionary is the event, which has participation from Hindus and Muslims, religion is no bar for them. He appealed them to educate their children and fight against female foeticide. He motivated them to make selfless contributions for the betterment of humankind.
Out of 345 entries, Nikah-Ceremony was performed for 58 Muslims. Cutting across caste-lines, bride and bride-grooms belonging to Bharvad, Patel, Harijan, Devi-Pujak, Vanik, and Muslim tied the nuptial -knot.
Donors Shri Atulkumar Ganatra, Gagendra Dholakiya, O.R.Patel, Rudabhai Patel, MLA Dr Bharatbhai, Jasdan Darbar Shri Satyajit Kumar Khachar had made sincere endeavors to make the event a grand Success. Prominent among those who participated were Finance Minister Shri Vajubhai Vala, Minister Shri Vasanbhai Aahir, MLAs Shri Mohan Kundariya, Pravin Mankadiya, Jashumatiben Korat, Bhanumatiben Babariya, Rajkot- Mayor Sandhyaben Vyas, M.P. Shri Vijay Rupani, eminent leaders and top-officials.
