Gujarat Chief Minister announces Rs.1,111-crore for new 2,200 works for Amreli

Narendra Modi expresses concern as the Central Government has paralyzed in the run-up to vote-bank politics, inflation and corruption

Ahmedabad, Friday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi expressed doubts about the future of the country as the Central Government has paralyzed in the run-up to vote-bank politics and development works coming to standstill, embroiled in corruption, inflation.

Rounding up the day’s Sadbhavna fast at Amreli as p art of his state-wide ‘Sadbhavna Mission’, he s aid that while Gujarat is progressing at a very fast rate but the Centre threatens to push the opposition leaders in jail, not afraid of such talks.

The Chief Minister announced 2,200 new development works worth Rs.1,111-crore for Amreli district. He also announced allocation of Rs.300-crore Balapur irrigation project and Santli dam project.

He repeatedly told the people at the helms of affairs to shun the decades old vote-bank politics and t aking a cue from Gujarat’s Sadbhavna Mission adopt the development politics through for peace, unity and brotherhood.

About 24,000 people assembled from all the 11 talukas of the Amreli district to join Mr. Modi in his daylong fast.

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
