The Chief Minister's Fellowship Program, launched in 2009, is an extraordinary opportunity for the youth to be part of social service for the future development of our country. Fellows are placed with high-profile projects to make an exceptional impact on social development.

The First batch of the CM Fellowship Programme was a grand success and its second batch would begin on the 2nd October’2011, the applications for which are being received now. The last date for applying to this batch is 31st Aug’ 2011

About the programme :

Under the CM fellowship program, selected Fellows will spend 11 months working with the Government of Gujarat in a specific Department or District of Gujarat. There will be an induction to the Government of Gujarat's operations, ground-level study and the challenge to contribute to Gujarat's development transformation. Thus, Fellows will develop as individuals with competencies and aspirations to benefit the public through their chosen career paths.

PM Modi to visit Mauritius from March 11-12, 2025

On the invitation of the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will pay a State Visit to Mauritius on March 11-12, 2025, to attend the National Day celebrations of Mauritius on 12th March as the Chief Guest. A contingent of Indian Defence Forces will participate in the celebrations along with a ship from the Indian Navy. Prime Minister last visited Mauritius in 2015.

During the visit, Prime Minister will call on the President of Mauritius, meet the Prime Minister, and hold meetings with senior dignitaries and leaders of political parties in Mauritius. Prime Minister will also interact with the members of the Indian-origin community, and inaugurate the Civil Service College and the Area Health Centre, both built with India’s grant assistance. A number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be exchanged during the visit.

India and Mauritius share a close and special relationship rooted in shared historical, cultural and people to people ties. Further, Mauritius forms an important part of India’s Vision SAGAR, i.e., Security and growth for All in the Region.

The visit will reaffirm the strong and enduring bond between India and Mauritius and reinforce the shared commitment of both countries to enhance the bilateral relationship across all sectors.
