CM discuss Security Services with senior police officers from 15 states

200 women police officers from North East to work in Gujarat on two years deputation as per directive of National Security Council

Multidisciplinary approach makes Gujarat’s Raksha Shakti, Forensic Science and National Law Universities unique in security services – Narendra Modi

Gandhinagar, Monday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today that multidisciplinary approach at the state’s unique Raksha Shakti, Forensic Science and National Law Universities make their pass-outs highly employable for variety of jobs.

Briefing senior police officers from 15 states about Security Services in Gujarat, he said these varsities teach subjects and impart training in various skills fit for variety of professions. The faculties of these universities are in constant touch with one another and have earned name in a very short period since inception.

Mr. Modi said that an atmosphere of peace and development prevailed in Gujarat for the last decade as the police force also adapted a new work culture befitting the changing world. The aim is to take the academics in these varsities to world class.

He said that several universities are also taking keen interest in Gujarat’s specialized universities, for their and quality of training and exploring areas of mutual cooperation.

The officers who were here to attend a seminar during the courtesy call on the Chief Minister said that they were highly impressed by the Gujarat Model of development, specially the advances in police reforms.

Referring to National Security Council’s suggestion, Mr. Modi said that 200 women police officers from North Eastern States would by rotation serve Gujarat on two years’ deputation.

Those present on the occasion included Raksha Shakti University Director-General and Chief Minister’s Additional Principal Secretary.

Mr.Vikas Sahay made a presentation on Research and Development in Raksha Shakti University.

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
