Mr. Wang Jiarui, Minister, International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today. Mr. Wang Jiarui is visiting India as part of a programme of high level political exchanges between India and China.

Mr. Wang Jiarui conveyed President Xi Jinping`s greetings to the Prime Minister and said that the warm welcome received by President Xi Jinping during his visit to India last year had left a deep impression on him.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives due to stampede at New Delhi Railway Station. Shri Modi also wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

In a X post, the Prime Minister said;

“Distressed by the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured have a speedy recovery. The authorities are assisting all those who have been affected by this stampede.”
