The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi interacted with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra via video conferencing today. He also launched Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra. During the program, the Prime Minister dedicated the landmark 10,000th Jan Aushadi Kendra at AIIMS, Deoghar. Further, Shri Modi also launched the program to increase the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the country from 10,000 to 25,000. The Prime Minister announced both these initiatives, providing drones to women SHGs and increasing the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras from 10,000 to 25,000 during his Independence Day speech earlier this year. The program marks the fulfilment of these promises.

From Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Lakar Paleng informed the Prime Minister about the Pucca house that he built with the assistance of the government. He also informed about the transformation brought about by the Jal Jeevan Mission.

When Shri Lakar greeted the Prime Minister with ‘Jai Hind’, the Prime Minister replied and said that in Arunachal Jai Hind is a very popular greeting and said that it is always a pleasure to interact with people of Arunachal.

Shri Lakar was informed about the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra by his Gram Panchayat and the inherent message of making India a developed nation by 2047 was very clear to him. The Prime Minister asked the villagers to form 5 teams and go to five villages to inform them that the ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ vehicle of VBSY is coming.

PM Modi visits the Indian Arrival Monument

Prime Minister visited the Indian Arrival monument at Monument Gardens in Georgetown today. He was accompanied by PM of Guyana Brig (Retd) Mark Phillips. An ensemble of Tassa Drums welcomed Prime Minister as he paid floral tribute at the Arrival Monument. Paying homage at the monument, Prime Minister recalled the struggle and sacrifices of Indian diaspora and their pivotal contribution to preserving and promoting Indian culture and tradition in Guyana. He planted a Bel Patra sapling at the monument.

The monument is a replica of the first ship which arrived in Guyana in 1838 bringing indentured migrants from India. It was gifted by India to the people of Guyana in 1991.
