Hon'ble CM launches India's first micronutrient-mix food programme

While launching India's first supplementary nutritional food programme aiming to reach about 40 lakh poor beneficiaries through the framework of Anganwadi, Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi describe it as an unique movement sure to free children and pregnant women from the problem of malnutrition.

Women and Child Welfare Department has announced a battle against malnutrition where under Integrated Child Development Programme, beneficiaries will be given ready to cook, pre-mix food containing micronutrients that can prepare more than 70 items including Sukhadi, Shira, Upma and Balbhog, right at their doorstep through 44789 Anganwadis of the State.

State Government has made a provision of Rs 730 cr for the nutritional food programme and Rs 150 cr for girls summing Rs 896 cr. Chief Minister today made a token distribution of supplementary nutritional food to the beneficiaries.

Chief Minister lauded the works of women workers of Anagnwadi. He said that luxury of fast food is limited to riches but ready to cook pack will prove as a nutritional alternative for poor mothers and children.

PM to participate in ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ on 24 November

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ programme on 24 November at around 5:30 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Odisha Parba is a flagship event conducted by Odia Samaj, a trust in New Delhi. Through it, they have been engaged in providing valuable support towards preservation and promotion of Odia heritage. Continuing with the tradition, this year Odisha Parba is being organised from 22nd to 24th November. It will showcase the rich heritage of Odisha displaying colourful cultural forms and will exhibit the vibrant social, cultural and political ethos of the State. A National Seminar or Conclave led by prominent experts and distinguished professionals across various domains will also be conducted.
