On the morning of Saturday 27th April 2013 Shri Narendra Modi addressed the All Gujarat Public Prosecutors’ Seminar at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. Judges of the Gujarat High Court Justice Ravi Tripathi and Justice Jayant Patel graced the occasion with their presence. Also present was former Judge in the Supreme Court, Justice CK Thakker. Shri Modi stressed on the use of latest technology in the legal field. He said, “Technology will help is many things including the surrounding aspects. We should work towards integrating technology in the entire set-up.” He added, “Earlier information channels were very less now everything is available very easily.”

Congratulating the organizers of the seminar, Shri Modi affirmed that the event became stronger with the participation of respected judges of the Gujarat High Court. “A sanctity was created with their presence. This is a very big thing,” he stated. He also expressed hope that with experts talking, this seminar will throw further light on the various aspects of the field that will make those associated with it more aware of their responsibilities. “Lots will come out of this discussion,” he avowed.

The Chief Minister spoke about the need of instilling a trust in the Government framework. He said, “We have not been able to instill a sense of ownership. People mistrust the institutions they themselves made. No one feels the Government is ours. We should create a trust that this is the framework and the result will come out in this framework itself.”

Shri Modi expressed joy that many of the attendees on the seminar are visiting Mahatma Mandir for the first time. He shared that the uniqueness of the Mahatma Mandir is that soil from every village, state and part of the world where Indians live has contributed in its creation. He also invited those present to visit the exhibit on Mahatma Gandhi’s life.

Earlier, Justice Ravi Tripathi and Justice Jayant Patel spoke on the occasion. Minister Shri Pradeepsinh Jadeja also addressed the session.
