PM Modi receives the highest Civilian Award of Mauritius at the National Day Celebrations

PM Modi attended the 57th National Day celebrations of Mauritius as the Chief Guest, where President Dharambeer Gokhool conferred upon him the Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (G.C.S.K), the country’s highest civilian award. PM Modi dedicated the honor to the enduring friendship between India and Mauritius. The celebrations also featured an Indian Navy marching contingent and a port call by an Indian Naval Ship.

PM Modi expressed his heartfelt gratitude on being conferred the highest National Award of Mauritius. PM said the award is the honour of 1.4 billion Indians. He exclaimed that the award is a symbol of the shared hopes and aspirations of the Global South. He dedicated it to the Indian origin ancestors and to all their generations. He reaffirmed the commitment to make efforts to enhance India-Mauritius Strategic Partnership to greater heights.
