He emphasized the Northeast’s immense potential and praised Assam’s economic progress, which has doubled to ₹6 lakh crore in six years. Stressing improved connectivity, infrastructure, and investment opportunities, he urged industry leaders to harness Assam’s potential and join the journey towards Viksit Bharat.

Cabinet approves construction of Varanasi-Pt.Deen Dayal Upadhyaya multitracking including new Rail-cum-Road Bridge across Ganga River

The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, has approved a ₹2,642 crore multi-tracking project for the Ministry of Railways, aimed at easing congestion on the Varanasi-Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction route. This project will add 3rd and 4th railway lines, along with a new rail-cum-road bridge over the Ganga, enhancing capacity for both passenger and freight traffic.
