Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today launched a novel initiative called ‘Aapno Taluko - Vibrant Taluko' (ATVT) at Dabhoi taluka in Vadodara district. The programme, covering 225 talukas of Gujarat, aims at enabling talukas to become self-governing units that possesses all modern-day facilities too.

In the first phase, the programme will be implemented in 51 talukas and will soon cover all 225 talukas.

Chief Minister, on the occasion, threw open to people a newly-built ‘Taluka Seva Sadan' and ‘Janseva Kendra' at Dabhoi. He said that ATVT aims at decentralizing the administrative power, making government machinery more accessible to the people. The programme will enable talukas to set their own vision; make their own planning and solve their problems on their own, he said.

Describing ATVT as a revolutionary experiment and the first of its kind in the country, Chief Minister called upon people to involve themselves in the programme and organize seminars to assure development for their talukas.

Revenue Minister Smt.Anandiben Patel expressed happiness that with ATVT state government would reach to the doorstep of the people and make modern-day facilities available to the remotest people. ATVT will ease the development process in talukas, she said.

Chief Secretary Shri A.K.Joti said that people will be able to hand over their applications and grievances pertaining to the various schemes at the Janseva Kendra of their taluka, which will save their time and money.

Minister of State Shri Jitendra Sukhadiya and Shri Jaydrathsinhji Parmar, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Yogesh Patel, MPs, MLAs, government office bearers and people in large number were present on the occasion.

CM's quotes at Dabhoi

“Dabhoi's Taluka Seva Sadan is even more attractive than Chief Minister's Office. How good, if I be a TDO here instead of a Chief Minister! It is the most beautiful offices among around 6000 taluka blocks in entire country.”

“If states are growing only with the Centre's help, they all will grow the way Gujarat grows. It is because of the blessings of six crore Gujaratis, novel initiatives, powerful team and skillful leadership that Gujarat tops the country.”

“Government officials have worked much more in last decade than they worked in past 30 years. State government has rebuilt Kutch after earthquake and showed its strength to those who were skeptical about its rebuilding.”

“ Gujarat pre-plans for growth. It's not our policy to dig well after fire occurs.”

“It is not Narendra Modi who settles for anything less than the best. When I get better, I wish for getting the best.”
